My husband travels most weeks, so I was thrilled when he said he was taking off this Friday to spend the day with me. Now I am trying to plan something fun, yet simple for us to do. We moved to this area only about 6 weeks ago so I am not sure what to do or where. Would love to find a quaint place for lunch, then not sure what else. Suggestions?
Grapevine is great and a good choice...also consider including Southlake Town Square - has grown by leaps and bounds and has tons of shops, restaurants, and sites to enjoy. I love the outdoors and going to the lake or a local park for a picnic...but looks like the weather will be a factor on Friday...I think the Rodeo in Ft Worth is still going on...plus all the museums there...just a few ideas...
I agree with Sarah, a trip to Grapevine is an awesome way to spend an afternoon. Go to the wineries for some tastings and maybe visit the Gaylord Texan. It's really cool to walk around inside.
Have lunch at Savianos It in euless on euless main road and 183! It is the best lunch EVER!!!!!!!!!

go to grapevine! the mall, the wineries, the historic downtown, the sporting good store...it's the best! we hope to do a weekend there as a couple in August.
Depending on the weather...The Dallas Arboretum is always fun and great to stroll around in. Uptown has great shopping with good restaurants. I'm always up for something that has to do with eating. LOL
