So Is Anyone Else Excited over the Breaking Dawn Movie?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Twilight series. I realize that there is definitely a certain amount of "cheesy" in the series, but I consider it to be a guilty pleasure. I love both the books and the movies. I have a good bit of PTO that I have to use by the end of the year, so I am planning on taking next Friday off and go see the movie by myself.

What can I do next?

Great Books? Absolutely, Cheesy movie? Yup, Bad acting? definately.

BUT...I will be there Friday at 12:05 to see it with my DD. This will be a first for us. We have seen all the others but not at the premiere. This will be some great girl time- she is 10 (hope this one is not too much for her)

So excited!

Im in love with the books but the movies have disappointed me. My family goes with me to see the movies and I feel bad about how much they are missing out on! I hope they don't leave a lot out because that last book is so full of twists but o yes! I can't wait. Im a little Cullen obsessed :)

I have enjoyed the movies. I wouldn't say they are the best movies I have ever seen, but they are entertaining and I enjoy the story. I will be doing the movie marathon leading up to the midnight showing. I am not doing this of my own volition. I have 3 teenage daughters and it was their idea! I'm hoping I can stay awake through the whole thing!

nope . . . vampires don't sparkle and they melt and turn to dust in sunlight. Oh and they turn into bats. and warewolves can't change at will.

Couldn't pay me to see these movies.

I'm looking forward to the movie, but I don't think it's going to be that good. I can't stand Kristen Stewart. I think her acting is horrible! But I am excited to see how they translate the story onto the movie screen. I LOVE the books!

Lynch me now! I read the books because I was reading and enjoying the Sookie Stackhouse books and the Twilight series was recommended to me. At the time I had no idea what anyone meant by Team Jacob/Edward and really had no desire too. Now grated I think the stories are generally good and the plots and character development is okay I just am not a fan of the writing so I was generally disappointed in the books but I read them all because I thought they would get better as the series progressed. I somewhat like the movies but after reading the books I can't help but think about how they are going to portray the last book and think that if they want to keep the majority audience (older teenagers) they are going to have to tone it down to maintain appropriate ratings. How much are they going to take out. I haven't (and I won't) see any of the movies in the theater. I caught all of them On Demand when I had Showtime but now that I don't it will probably be a very very long time before I do see it. Just for reference while I like the Sookie Stackhouse series in books I don't understand True Blood - it has become so loosely based on the series now that it doesn't even make sense to me.

I have read all of the books, as have my 2 oldest daughters, and we usually go together with a couple of their friends and 2 of my friends to watch the movie premiere at midnight. This time, I bought our tickets for the midnight movie, but sadly one of my daughters will not be able to come since she is away at college. :( We are all bummed about this. It has become a tradition, just like we did for all of the Harry Potter movies. Oh well, college is important. I just recently allowed my youngest daughter to start watching the 1st movies, but I am a bit concerned about letting her see the last 2 with the whole wedding night/ honeymoon thing and then all that comes after. (don't want to spoil for those who didn't read the books) anyway, she wants me to either let her read the book or read them to her, and I will probably read them to her since she is only 8 1/2. She reads at an 8th grade level, but if I read the books, I can kind of choose how to phrase certain parts of the last book. So, to answer your question......... heck YES! We are excited! I have had tickets for almost a month!!
I am also REALLY addicted to True Blood on HBO. I have read all 11 of the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, and have already preordered the next one (#12) which will be released in May!! I LOVE that series, and was so excited when hbo made it into a tv series. The tv series IS a lot different than the books, as most are, but it makes it fun to watch since then I don't automatically know what is going to happen. THAT show is truly NOT for the young though! My hubby and 2 older daughters do watch it with me, but they are 18 and 21. Ahhh, vampires and all the fun other supernatural stuff. :)
Oh, and no.... the books are not just meant for teens to the other poster who wrote that. Have you watched Harry Potter, Spiderman, Superman, Ironman, or any other movie like that? It's called entertainment! lol!

Cheesy, guilty pleasure! YES! I have gone to opening night for the first 3 movies w/ friends, but this one, I am waiting for it to come out on DVD because what I'd spend on the movie and dinner, I will spend to buy it and this way, I can have my girls over for some wine and munchies and we can socialize too! I am re-reading the book again, for the 5th time! (I read a LOT!) but am looking forward to the movie, too! Fun times!

I love the Twilight series, and I'm a married full time worker to 2 young kids ;-D The movies so far have not really impressed me so I'm not too excited about breaking dawn. I'll wait to see it on DVD like I have with the others. I absolutely cannot stand Kristen Stewart who plays Bella...she is a bad actress and never changes her expressions...Bella in the book is supposed to be very expressive "people read me like a book" she quotes to Edward once.
With BD I heard they had a lot of time, so they added a lot of scenes that are not in the book. That kinda irks me...but I'm sure the movie will have its moments and I can't wait to see the honeymoon scene!!!
