Splash Pads in Salt Lake Valley

I am terrified of taking all three of my boys to a pool and trying to keep track of them by myself. I need a fun way for them to play in the water this summer. I knew splash pads existed, but forgot about them until recently. I've searched the internet a couple times for splash pads in the salt lake valley. I know there's one at the Gateway and I found something from 2006 about one opening in Herriman.

Does anyone know if there still is one in Herriman, where it is, what's the price?? Are there any other splash pads in the valley beside the one at the Gateway??

Thanks!

I think there are more, but the Herriman one is the one I'm familiar with. It's a free park on 5600 W just a bit south of 13400 S. My kids love it!

I don't know about Herriman. Yes, the ones at the Gateway are lots of fun. Liberty Park in SLC also has a fun (chlorinated) water area where kids can play for free in fountains. That's been a favorite of ours. I don't know if it's closed for the moment because of the oil leak there, or back in business.

Also, Daybreak in South Jordan has some fountains in their "SoDa Row" area that are free and you can play in. (They have pools there too, but they cost money for guests; free for residents. The fountains in the commercial district cost nothing.)

South Davis Recreation center in Bountiful (off 400 N. exit) has a splash pad and very shallow outdoor pool (the only outdoor swimming) with a pirate ship in the middle. I don't think it is deeper than 2 feet. There are lifeguards and lots of parents too. Cottonwood Heights Rec Center in SLC also has a splash pad, but I haven't seen the whole facility. Have fun!

There are several splash parks (all free!) in Riverton and Herriman. My favorite one is off of Bellagio Way. Not sure where you live, but if you are heading west on 12600 S. from Bangerter Hwy., turn left at the 3rd light to head into Herriman (I think it is called "Herriman Blvd). The road heads towards Silver Crest Elementary and the new Recreation center. Take your first right and then another right on Bellagio (I think). There is a sign that says "Tuscany Estates" - just past the sign is the park.

There are two other splash parks we use - one is just off of 126th south and 4570 west, the other is called Old Farm Park. The Old Farm Park one is kind of hard to find, but the address is 13680 S. 3250 W. Take Bangerter to the 2700 West light and turn north. Take the first left and then wind around west until you find it.

I just looked on Herriman's website and they have a few others listed we'll have to go try!

There is a small splash pad at the playground on the northwest end of liberty park in the middle of the playground. They also have a little(and I mean very little) stream right in the middle of the park that is shaped like mountains and valley and is running with water. I take 3 kids that are 3 and under all of the time and have no trouble at all. Good luck!

The Cottonwood Heights rec center is pretty good with an indoor area too. Have you considered life jackets for kids 3-6 who can't swim? My son loves his and it gives him a lot of freedom to move and swim which he loves. He can't get it off himself either so I know he will be fine and stay near me and if not in arms length, he can stay up. Good luck

There is a new Ampitheatre park in Sandy, by the Sandy Ampitheatre. I have heard it has one, but not gone yet to check it out. Also the Alta Canyon pool has one that you can use if you pay to get into the pool. I think it is around $2 to get in.
