How little is little? Last year when Victor was 1, I put a couple wooden cars that he liked (they were at Target last year for $1, now they're at the dollar store)....some hersheys kisses and the peppermints that are soft and dissolve easily, a little board book, and some animal finger puppets.
This year: my boys are 2 and 5. They're getting the orange, apple, nuts, cherry hershey kisses, a couple candy canes, and a little Santa with skittles in him. For toys they each have a hot wheel, a little pack of cowboy/indians for little guy and a little pack of the green army soldiers for big guy, a bubble wand, some new map pencils and a little coloring pad, and some funny Santa/ELf socks. Big guy is getting a marbles game, and some dice that you toss to help you make up your own stories (a game the whole family can play easily), and a Foghorn Leghorn comic book, while little guy is getting glow in the dark stars for his bedroom ceiling (b/c he's always yelling "star! star!" when we're out at night), a harmonica, and a little board book. Oh yeah---they're both getting "pirate gold" that we found at a costume shop at Halloween time. They are all about treasures and pirate games, and when I was little (YES I WAS A NERD, I acted out everything I read)---I loved making a trap for a cyclops with "treasures" like mardi gras beads (which we have) and trying to lure a cyclops to us so we could get him. That would be ALL DAY fun with my little brother (but I was Sinbad). I figured I could pass on that game so it's not just pirates all the time, lol. Cheap but entertaining stuff.
