N.,
As far as I know, there isn't anything that will make stretch marks go away. You could consult a dermatologist but I think stretch marks are forever. I'd love to get rid of mine too. I look like a road map from the boobs down.

Think of your stretch marks as marks of courage and accomplishment, as they will never completly go away. They will fade to white in time (my daughter is 1 1/2, and all of my stretch marks have faded away, but you can still see them a little and feel them) but never go away. Become one with them - LOL. I've read that there are now laser treatments that can reduce and partially remove stretch marks, but it is very expensive, and if youre planning on having more children, its a waste.
Try using Maderma - you can get it at your local drug store - and it will help fade the color more quickly.
do you meen they are still red? They will never go away they will turn silver and light and if you get a sun burn they will show up brighter but unless you get a laser peel they will always be your badge of honor. :)
Hi N.,
I have two children, 12 and 9 yrs old. I have lots of stretch marks. I have personally used Visibly Fit body lotion from Mary Kay Cosmetics.
I had scars on the sides of my breasts that looked like a cat attacked me. After using the lotion, the scars are no longer noticable.
The Visibly Fit body lotion also helps diminish the appearance of cellulite and spider vines. If you are interseted, you can visit my website: www.marykay.com/GinaMMartinez. You can order from this website and I will mail the products to you.
Sincerely,
G.
Retin A is supposed to work. It's prescription and most likely won't be covered by insurance because it's cosmetic. I think you should try to bare you scars with pride. You grew a beautiful baby. My four year old asks about mine which are pretty light(they fade naturally over time) now and I tell her there beauty marks from growing my baby!
unfortunatly i have them too. the only thing ive noticed to kindof disguise them not get rid of them is tanning. good thing summer is right around the corner. if there is something to take them away let me know. i dont think that there is.
I had gotten tons of stretch marks when I was pregnant with my first daughter 5 yrs ago.. They faded... Now u cant even tell I had them.. I was lucky enuff not to get any stretchmarks with my second daughter..
Dear N.,
You have done everything that would possibly help you. Maybe someone will be able to tell you about a cream, but honestly, I think that you have stretch marks from bringing a beautiful baby girl into the world and that is your badge of honor - maybe you don't like it, but it is true, unless these modern chemists find a way. Just get on with your life, you are beautiful....and you are a Mom!
Sincerely, C. N.
Oh dear. I am still waiting for them to invent a surgery to get rid of them. Hopefully yours aren't as bad as mine. One day though...I still have Hope!
As far as I know, stretch marks do no go away. They will fade a little, but will always be there unless you have laser surgery. I had very light stretch marks from my son and they have faded pretty much completely. It took awhile for them to fade and get lighter. He is now 2 and you can barely see them. I guess it just depends on how bad they were to begin with, but they will lighten up a little.
I hate to tell you this but strech marks wont go away, completly. They will fade with time but that is about it. There is also no way to prevent strech marks either. It sucks I know, thats why I think of them as victory scars. "I survived the pregnancy and look what I get show from it, a beautiful baby and strach marks!" Good luck and enjoy your daughter while she is little it goes by in a flash!
It's been 7 years since I had my daughter and I still have mine, LOL! I didn't know they were supposed to go away! I feel cheated! :-)
Hi N.:
Sorry, but there really isn't any way to get rid of them completely unless you get surgery. I got them with my first child really bad, and with my other two, I got a few more. Mine still have not gone away and my oldest is 7. They do have a cream called mederma that is supposed to help them fade. I've never tried it though b/c a small tube costs about $25. I know it's not much of a reassurance, but you are definately not alone in this. Most of us get them; some of us just get them a lot worse. Try tanning, either at a salon or naturally. The more tan you get, the more they will be disguised.
They don't seem to go away, just fade a little with time. Although I have been using the Avon cream and that seems to help. You might want to look into that! Good luck.
I hate to tell you, but stretch marks are permanent. There are procedures and creams that sometimes can lighten them and they'll fade a bit over time, true. But, they're pretty much scars. If I remember correctly, you can blame your mother because if she got stretch marks while she was pregnant then her daughters will too.
Sorry.
They are there to stay, sorry. There really is no way to prevent them, and no way to get rid of them. I feel your pain. But just rememebr that you are not alone, many mothers have them.
