All last summer we were trying to figure out what cased my son's rashes. We finally figured out yesterday that he is allergic (or at least highly sensitive) to sunblock. We have tried Banana Boat Kids and Hawaiian Tropic for kids. I have heard California Baby is good for this situation. Any experiences or suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

My daughter has really sensitive skin/multiple food/drug allergies and she is only 7 mos. Everything gives her rashes! I used Neutrogena 45spf at the suggestion of a friend (her pedi rec. it for babies) and she was good with it. I also bought waterbabies but have not tried that one yet. Both say hypoallergenic.

hi,

I can't use any of those..it makes me break out too. My husband also works outside all day and he has sensitve skin as well. We just bought the mineral sunscreen by Meleluca (not sure of spelling) I have not used it yet..but by husband has used it everyday with out a problem..I think it was like $10 for a big bottle. Arbonne has one too and I heard it works well and they have all natural stuff too.

We use UV Naturals. It's all natural with no nanoparticles. It's Australian, and they really know how to make a good sunblock.

Can you use the clear zinc oxide? I have sensitive skin and I am especially careful with my face. I use this under my makeup daily and have no issues.

I think it is Panama Jack, not sure, but it does specify as "Clear" when it goes on.

Hope this might help.
Susan

I found in using sunblock in my own children that changing to a lower SPF hepled big time. Our Dr. said that SPF 15 is really all you have to have to be safe.
However, my children's skin may not be as 'sensitive' as your child's. Hope this helps.
