Suggestions for Infant/toddler Music

I would like to buy some music for my 5 month old to listen to for play time. I would like it to be interactive songs that I can use puppets and finger plays with. I've got Raffi's Animal Songs and Sesame Street Platinum. Any suggestions for other good ones?

What can I do next?

I love the L. Berkner Band, many of them you can act out, but her music is better for kids that are 2 y/o plus.

I would also say L. Berkner. I used to play it in the car and sing along. Free To Be You And Me is a great album from the 70s. This has songs and stories. Great! I also love kenny loggins...house at pooh corner. Starbucks has put put some great compilations of childrens songs as well. My philosophy is that if the music drives you nuts, like the ones with a bunch of kids singing, then it is bound to drive your kid nuts!

We love Rockabye Baby, Raffi & Dr.Jean. Check your local library as many times you can find a great selection to check-out & sample before you make the investment.

Some of our favorites are: Dr. Jean, Wiggles, Mainly Music CDs, Steve Songs, L. Berkner, Lisa Loeb (has some cute kid songs), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse CDs. Mainly Music and Dr. Jean are probably the best choices for what you are looking for.

When my kids were littler we listened to a lot of Baby Einstein in the car. Now that we're older, we love L. Berkner & Ralph's World. My daughter likes the Disney Princess CDs.

My kiddos love the Yo Gabba Gabba I love to dance cd. I downloaded it to my ipod, and we sing and dance to it all the time. The songs have great messages about being nice to others, cleaning up, brushing your teeth, trying new things...over all just a great cd. Added bonus...it was only like 6.99 to download the whole album.

The children in my daycare love "The bubble-gum song" by ? Peterson (can't remember her first name) she has interactive songs that go beyond the normal "I'm a little teapot". She also has music for infants and toddlers that have easy to follow movements and are loads of fun!
Have fun on your search!

"Wee Sing" has a lot of different kids music they usually come with a book of all the words, we have some of the old classics that have the finger plays and we have some that are new like songs about Dinosaurs which my boys loved!
