J.B.
I find that Land's End (which you can shop for in person at Sears) has a nice selection. I'm on the smaller side of Plus sizes (a 16) so I don't know if what I bought was plus size per se but there was a nice selection in my size and bigger.
where is the best place to buy swimsuits for plus sized women?

It depends on how "plus sized" you are. If you are 200 lbs and don't want to spend any more than you have to, then go to Wal-Mart. If you are 400+ lbs then I don't know.
It also depends on where you are going swimming. If you are going to Europe, then there are dozens and dozens of beaches where you don't need a bathing suit at all.
Good luck to you and yours.

Depending upon your size - or where you hold your weight? Try the maternity department if you carry your weight around your stomach and breasts.
Be prepared to spend money....for quality...
Good luck!
Lands End without a doubt,
This is a hard one for sure. I actually won't buy one I can't try on. There are so many online though. I have a small rib cage with everything else big. So those plus size ones hang on my upper body with my flabby boobies hanging down with no support and the hiney is skin tight.
I buy mine at Lane Bryant or some other name brand plus size store. I've actually bought separates at Walmart to go with my existing stuff.
I have a one piece suit, tank style, and put a swim skirt over the bottom to change it up. I also have a tankini top that I put the swim skirt with over a brief.
Then I have the dress style where you have a swimsuit with a flared skirt over the lower 2/3 of the suit. I like that style best.
Lands End carries a wide range of sizes and I think their suits are very high quality and worth every penny!
Look at JC Penney online. They have a terrific selection of plus sized swimsuits. You can buy the tops and bottoms separately if you want and you can buy skirts or shorts for your bottoms as well. Expect to spend around $100 but they are very nice quality.

Try Cyberswim.com. They have the Miraclesuit and others. I'm not plus-sized, but I'm curvy, and I love the Miraclesuit. The website carries many plus-sized options. Generally I just take my measurements and order according to the size chart, and have always been pleased with the results. Good luck!
Look online at womanwithin.com. They are a plus size clothing store. I haven't ordered anything from there but they have some really cute stuff. I will probably look there.
if you like fashion like swim wear you can look at torrid its all plus size clothing
Catherine's plus size stores. They have beautiful suits. I have bought several there.
