Just wondering if you use a good allergy medicine over the counter or prescription that works wonders. I know I have allergies and have had various symptoms from one time or another...Really my only complaint is the sinus pressure and that they feel inflammed/swollen all the time. I know I know I should go back to my allergist but her thing will be to put me back on allergy shots etc..etc...I don't want to do that. I was on the shots for 4 years straight..another story for another time. Any suggestion on how to relieve some of the pressure?

I second the suggestion to try a neti pot or sinus wash. I've been using a neti for a few years now and it can really help to clear out congestion and reduce sinus swelling. I like this type- http://www.sinucleanse.com/product/neti.htm but there is also a different kind which can be easier to use for some people- http://www.neilmed.com/usa/sinusrinse.php . You can pick either of them up at the drugstore or even Walmart for about $12. I hope this helps! :)
My Rx protocol for sinuses is this:
Use the Sinus Irrigator from Neil MD with it's saline solution.
Use a humidifier.
Use a coritisone inhaler, like Flonase (you'll need a script)
Take extra Vitamin C.
Take a daily allergy med. I use Claritin.
Even with this daily regime, my sinus pressure is still so bad right now, that I'm seeing an ENT tomorrow who is ordering an urgent head CT scan and I'm having a hearing test. The pressure and throbbing and thumping in my head and ears is driving me nuts.
One thing that really helps me when I have a sinus infection is using a heating pad over my face several times a day for about 15mins each time. I have one that I can heat up in the microwave. It really helps with the swelling and also helps me prevent an infection if I start doing it before my sinuses get too bad.
In addition to the neti pot, you could use some form of sinus moisture. There are lots of different nasal saline sprays that you can just shoot up there -- like Afrin, but without any chemicals, just saline. You would be surprised how much a little extra moisture can help. Good luck, I have lots of sinus problems too.
