I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy those taggie lovie blankets in Springfield, MO. Walmart used to carry them because I had to buy 3 (for laundry rotation) for my daughter because she was so attached to them. I would love to get one for my friend who is having a baby, but cannot find them locally anywhere. I'm going to see her this weekend and don't want to wait for shipping. Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Just had to share... my son's blankie had just the normal single tag. I had to kiss him, his blankie, and "Tags!" every single night. The tag ripped off when he was 2.5 and we had to make up a story that the tags were on vacation, he was so heart broken, until new ones got sewn back on.

LOVE tags!

You can make them easily, or buy them thru Taggies site for about $20-$25. If you know of any little boutique type baby stores near you, you could call.

I have a daycare baby in care right now who showed signs of being a taggie baby...I was going to make one for him, but a FB friend of mine (after a post I put about Taggies in general), offered one up that she had recieved as a gift for her son and he never took to it and it was in her Goodwill pile. She washed it up and mailed it to me! Then another of my daycare parents saw it a week after it arrived and said she had one too from when her 2 year old was little and he also never "took to it"..so I ended up with 2 for my little daycare fella. He loves them!

Good luck!

Dillards carries Taggies everything- clothes, blankets, dolls, books, etc. Don't know if you have a Dillards in MO, but maybe your local department store would have them?

Borders/Barnes N Noble also sells taggie books, I know it's not a lovie but it might work in a pinch???

Can you sew? If so, it looks like a fairly straightforward project. I just googled "Taggie blanket tutorial" and lots of good hits came up. If you did a small one, you could probably get it done by handsewing, if you don't have a sewing machine.

I have no answer for you but just wanted to say thanks for posting this so I could learn about taggie blankets. I never heard of them and I have one grandchild now age 2, who still loves his blanket because of the tag on it. This is a very neat idea for those 'taggie' kids.
