Tattoo on My Forearm - UPDATED PICTURE

I posted a while ago about getting a Bible verse tattooed on my forearm.

So I decided to go with the original verse that I was thinking, Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord.

I posted a pic on my profile, which prompts my question.....

What do you think??

ETA:
ok - so I posted another picture - it did look kind of weird in the other picture because I was shooting the picture from a weird angle, hopefully this will give you a better view. It's totally ok if you don't like it. I LOVE it.......This IS the tattoo that I got - LOL

@ Mrs. Robinson ~ Yes - this is actually the tattoo that I got!

What can I do next?

I am not crazy about that font, but I do think it would be a lovely tattoo to get.

I thought you were asking because you were thinking about getting it!

I love the idea, but I just don't like the picture at all. It's too curvy and just off looking to me. Do you want to do it in cursive?

do it for yourself, not for others to see at all times. My advice is to choose a different, more private placement. Personal experience ;-)

I happen to love them. My only concerns on the forearm is job related. Even though tatooing is much more acceptable than it once was there it is still not acceptable in most work places, and I myself could never be comfortable in covering up on regular basis. I have an ankle wrap, which I love it is my form of jewelry, but there has been a time of two when I was oh man wish I could be not seen when I am out in a dress and sandles.

But if you do not think it will have impact on any career choice either now or in the future I say go for it. I love them on the forearms. I so want one on my neck but if I get back into the animal field I would be wearing my hair up, and that might not work, so I need to carefully think about it before I decide.

I have never gotten a tattoo though I thought about it for a long time. I am happy I didn't get the one I wanted.
If this verse means so much to you at this time post it on the front door where you go out so you see it every day.
To my way of thinking you are looking for your Mission in life. What The Holy One sent you here to do. If you look for that you won't need the reminder from Jeremiah as you will live it completely.
I was about 26 when I went looking. I found it. And, for the next 22 years it riveted me and until I had done the majority of it. I live in inner peace now knowing I am doing the job I was sent here to do.

Loving all the tattoo questions today!! :D

If it means something to you, and that's something you want to not only carry with you for life, but also want to share with the world, then I think it's beautiful.

**I still don't like it... but it doesn't matter! YOU love it! That's all that matters!!

I agree with Mrs. Robinson, I like the idea- but I don't like the one in the picture. I hate the font and the placement, but that's just me.

Also- sure you've considered this, but what if you get a job some day that does not allow tattoos? You will have to wear long sleeves, all the time. Just a thought.

I do like the idea of a bible verse tattoo though- good luck!

Whatever floats your boat :-) I don't have any tattoos, and if I did, I'd want them to be discreet. I just can't commit to something I know I may not like when I'm 60, but that's me.

Forearms are an AWFUL spot for a tattoo, though. Have you ever had to look for a job? DH just landed a new job, which requires all visible tattoos to be covered. He has one on each forearm. Given, they are very tasteful, but it doesn't matter, he still has to wear long sleeves in 110 degree Phoenix heat outside.

I like the idea, the one in the picture looks pretty awful though in my opinion.

***Okay, saw the updated photo.. it does look better the other one was at a really odd angle!

I have absolutely no problem with a tattoo (or multiple tattoos-I have/had a couple) but the forearm is not the place for a tattoo imho. You have to think not just about the present but any future job you might want. I have an aquaintance that got a forearm tattoo and she works in the medical field. She now has to wear a scrub coat without exception because they have a strict company policy about visible tattoos.

It would be great on your back, top of your shoulders, on your side. Talk to the tattoo artist and get their input on placement, lettering style, etc.
