My daughter and family received an Edible Arrangement on the birth of their youngest. It was so much fun to look at and eat. The size appropriate for a few people was less than $40. I think you could get a larger one for $100.
We have gone through a rough patch with illnesses in our house, lately. We have been in the office a TON . They have always got us in right away. I would like to get something for the office. My first thought is having lunch brought in or a fruit basket ( having worked in the med field, I know how much food is appreciated). I don't have much more than 100$ to spend. Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.
I think 100$ is quite a bit , also. I had looked at some fruit baskets & food for that many & was thinking that would be about what I would end up spending. I was really hoping 50 to 75 $ range.
1&Done & BD - I see your point & I'm struggling with that thought, also . We have been going there for quite a long time( 10 + yrs) & I haven't had one problem. From a person that deals with many doc offices, yes, I'm used to getting poor service.

As a Ped's daughter - I can tell you that if you could get a ToGo order from one of their favorite restaurants and deliver it to them. Call the office manager ahead of time and tell her what you would like to do. That way you can pick a date for them. I would even talk to the restaurant manager when you order and mention that the Dr's office went above and beyond in your situation. You never know, they may give you a deal or through in something with it.
BTW I think it is GREAT what you are doing for them !!!!
How big is the office? I work in a large pedi office and we have around 75 employees. I agree, the best gift is food. We have a mom that sends us a big box of snacks every Christmas. It has stuff like mini packs of Pringles, Cheezits, trail mix, granola bars, etc. When I am buying for the office I get Panera Bread bagels and lots of cream cheese and coffee. It costs me less than $60 to feed this mass of people!
How sweet of you to think of them! I know that they will appreciate your thought and efforts!
$100 is a very kind amount in my opinion. I also suggest the Edible arrangements and I also have found some a like (but not as pretty) at my super market a little cheaper.
How about a tray of different subs with the fixings. Perhaps go to somewhere like subway. Something different then breakfast foods.
Wow $100!! On top of copays and medications these illnesses would amount to a small fortune.
I think a heartfelt thank you and a plate of home baked cookies would go just as far as a $100 fruit basket or arrangement.
I too have worked in the medical field and usually food is the only way that all the employees get to enjoy the gift. $100 is a very generous amount so you should be able to do a number of things with that amount. Consider delivering a bunch of bagels with cream cheese, and a box of coffee for their office breakfast. Or maybe bake yourself or go to a local bakery for a basket full of different kinds of muffins. Your local donut shop for a few dozen boxes of donuts. If you don't want to do food, maybe consider donating to a charity in their honor. Or just a nice note to let them know how much you appreciate how kind they are to you work your family into the schedule.
I got Olive Garden to go - a big tub of salad, breadsticks, lasagna, and a fettuccini - delivered to my IVF dr's offices after the successful birth of our daughter. I heard from one of the nurses who has since become a friend of mine how much they all appreciated getting a hot lunch, that was easily kept warm and re-heatable for those who couldn't eat it right away. It all cost me around $60.
edible arrangements! they have the best bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries and/or other fruits...very nice presentation too.
Edible Arrangement and a positive review on Yelp, Health Grades, or what ever other website you can find to review them on.
I'm kind of with B D. on this. I mean isn't "getting you in" kind of their job done correctly? LOL
Are we all so used to bad service that adequate service is surprising?
How nice of you.
I love the idea of Panera bagels, cream cheese & coffee.
So nice. So yummy. Always appreciated. :)
