Yeah, it's lucid dreaming.
I must admit though, that's the best use of lucid dreaming I've ever heard of! I would have laughed my butt off!
I just had to share this. My sister and I were talking about weird dreams. I have horrid and vivid dreams sometimes, and we were discussing this. She told me that whenever a dream gets bad she kinda snaps out of it. Like I don't want to deal with this, so the dream changes. Then she says, "Did I ever tell you about the bathroom dream." When I told her no she broke it down for me.
She had a dream she was trying to find her husband. When she finally located him he was in the bathroom with two girls messing around. My sister got really angry and said, "Fine! You want to be in there with two people here you go!" Then she changed them into dudes.
By far the most awesome thing I have heard in a while. So....ever had a dream you changed?
Yeah, it's lucid dreaming.

I can control my dreams, but only if I oversleep. It's the "extra" time that I would normally be awake but choosing to stay asleep. I guess I am conscious enough to be aware that I am dreaming and still able to make choices. I LOVE it! I really hate to be woken up from those dreams and try so hard to go right back to sleep and pick up where I left off. I rarely can, but I always try.
I stumbled into lucid dreaming by accident.
I was swimmng in a dream and realized that I could breathe underwater. That has made every swimming dream since VERY COOL.
I also fly in my dreams on occasion. :-) And once I could climb the walls and stick to the ceiling like a spider.
I love dreams. ♥
My husband was having a really vivid nightmare once...and he was yelling at himself to wake up so he could get out of it. Unfortunately for me, he was also yelling in real life, so at 3am, all I heard was him screaming "WAKE UP!!" I bolted straight up, wondering what the emergency was and shook him to find out what was going on. He went right back to sleep...I laid there with my heart racing for 20 minutes.
I do it all the time, that's the only way I dream that I know of.
That's called "lucid dreaming." And it's pretty cool.
Anyone can learn to do it!
