Help, I have little zit like bumps all over my head. It iches like crazy. Nothing seems to help, I have tried dandriff shampoo, tea tree oil shampoo, just changing shampoos. My hairdresser is the one who recommeded the tea tree shampoo. Its not lice or other bugs, lol.
Just some thoughts would be great.

Try Green Tea Shampoo. My daughter had a terrible time with her scalp and nothing worked. We tried the tea tree oil and dandruff shampoos with no luck. I got VO5 for about $1.00 at Market Basket and it worked great.

I also believe you could be dealing with psoriasis. I have it on my scalp as well. I always thought it was dandruff, but was confused as to why no products worked. I finally went to my dermatologist about it. She prescribed a special shampoo. Some solutions are more affordable than others, but the shampoo that she recommended was one that had the medication in it (so just 1 product), but doesn't leave your hair greasy like some others can. I use it 1x/week for maintenance unless I need it more. Of course, the better one was the more expensive one, but I found it to be totally worth it. Good luck.

N.,

Try using Seabreeze which is an antiseptic. When I had issues with my scalp as an adult I dipped a qtip in some of it and rubbed it over the affected areas or I would tilt my head back and pour a capful at the hairline and rub it in by hand. I never rinsed afterwards and my head felt cool and clean. And it WORKED.

When I was in 8th grade I had a serious case of psoriasis and had dandruff like you could not believe. This was in 1965 and my moms hairdresser told her about seabreeze for scalp problems and it has worked numerous times since.

Hi N., it may be psoriasis of the scalp. I have it and it's like these scales on my scalp. Very itchy, it's not dandruff. I would recommend Nioxin shampoo and Nioxin scalp therapy. OMG, it's a miracle shampoo. I use the shampoo then the scalp therapy, leave it on a few minutes and comb out scales. Stress makes it worse, anxiety. Which I have alot of. It does go away, but if I stress out, it comes right back. The only place I know of to get this shampoo is at a beautician's. JcPenney carries it. I've also recently seen it at Kinney Drugs. It's like $12 each. Expensive, but worth it. Is this any help? You can email me if you have other questions.
Good luck.

It could be ringworms as well. You should try using alcohol rub. Or get detol from an indian store. Detol is stronger and would eliminate it faster. put it just a lil bit in a pail of water and use the water to wash your head every night for at least a week or two. It has no side effect so even if u use it to keep yourself clean and remove any type of bacteria is ok. if its really itchy u can take a swab and put it directly where it itches.
good luck.

Try Head & Dhoulders (dark blue bottle) with Selenium Sulfide. My daughter has scalp issues and it helps. I would also recommend seing a doctor.

It sounds like psoriasis or you've developed a new allergy and need to look at what's going into your body (maybe dairy, wheat, artificial colors or sweeteners?). A liver cleanse tea might also help you, particularly something with burdock root.

Be aware that some tea tree shampoos out there really don't contain much tea tree. You would actually be better off adding essential oil directly into your favorite shampoo (5-10 drops per cup).

Good luck!

I haven't read the other responses - might be more helpful than mine - but just in case, I get the same thing. Actually they are worse when I am very stressed. My friend also gets them. She actually went to a doctor about 20 years ago to find out what it was - can't remember the exact diagnosis but it was psoriasis or one of those skin things. She got a prescription initially, but then found the the Neutrogina anti-itch lotion works just as well - I've tried it too, it's such a relief! It comes in a little bottle, it's not a shampoo. You squirt it onto your scalp, it won't make you all greasy. You can buy it at any drugstore.

Hi N.,
Arbonne's RElease Deep Pore Cleansing Masque I'm certain will clear it up. You could try the REgain Illuminating Enzyme Peel as well. We also have Daily Self-Adjusting Shampoo with Tea Tree Oil...that people absolutely LOVE!! I can send you samples if you like, just send me your mailing address.

Good luck,
K.

I have this too. Surprisingly, tea tree oil didn't work for me either. Tea Tree oil "is" good for many other things. I've just tried something that the pharmacist recommended for my husband for his poison ivy. It worked better than calamine lotion and actually took the poison ivy away, unlike calamine lotion. It's Band-Aid Brand Anti-itch Gel. It's clear and in a clear tube. Ask the druggist for it. I use a cotton swab and rub it onto the effected areas on my scalp. It is "extremely soothing" and does not make your hair greasy either. It's been two days and I've seen big improvements. I'm hoping for it to continue and it will be gone soon. If nothing else works...try it.
Good Luck!
