I've recieved and used great references in the past on Mamapedia, hopefully you can help me now!

We are looking to remove carpet in a short hallway and install tile (16x16) travertine. When we built our home in 2000, we opted for the tile in the first hallway off the laundry area and love it. I should have done it for the 2nd hallway to the master bedroom but with all the hoopla going on with building, it was something we missed.

SO, now.... we'd like to rip out the carpet in the small hallway and replace it with the travertine tile which is throughout the formal entry and other hallway.

I will start by saying we are very PICKY. We prefer to work with someone who truly cares about his/her craftmanship. We have some travertine leftover from our custom home build in 2000. I am not unrealistic to know that the tile will not be exact but at least needs to tie in where we begin the process.

Also, we'd like to install a storm glass door which has to be custom . Any ideas on where to get a custom glass door which is near "perfect". I have to restate.... we are picky and it must look great.

We had Nadine's Floor Company install tile and wood flooring in our house and they did a fantastic job. They removed and repainted all of our baseboards (We did have extra paint available). They also did a great job of cutting a lot of sharp angles on the tile work.

We have used Plano Bath and Glass for window replacements and we have used Glass Contractors in Allen for a shower door. I have also heard that Richardson Glass is a good glass company.

We also just finished a job with Nadine. I worked with the folks thru the Coit/Park location. Very happy with the work they did installing wood and tile. They really made sure we were happy with how everything looked.

I highly recommend Tuscan Floors in McKinney (corner of hwy 121 & Custer, by SuperTarget). When they installed wood flooring in our house we had them tear out the old tile around our fireplace and replace it with travertine (their idea). It came out beautiful...they did a wonderful job on both the floor and the fireplace!! We had absolutely NO complaints and my husband is in construction so he is picky also! They also were great on price!
