I wouldn't worry about the recalls. Toyota did the responsible thing and is repairing the autos that need it. My mom has an 06 and loves it. It was not part of the recall. I have a Scion and love it. They have always been reliable and we have never had problems with them. Good luck.

We had a 2002 and we absolutely loved it. We used it for business and put 70,000 miles on it the first year so we traded it fairly soon.....It fit my husband and myself which is a hard thing to do and the kids loved it. Didn't have one issue with it mechanically and it was pretty good on gas...

I wouldn't get a Toyota after the big acceleration problem recall and the smaller engine recall after it. Not only were there problems, they covered it up when they knew there was a problem.

I owned a 2003 Sequoia Limited and LOVED it! It was the best family vehicle I have ever owned. I sold it (in 1 day) and purchased a sedan since my child is older now...don't hesitate, it's one of the safest vehicles you can drive and one of the most reliable also.

I have an '06 Sequoia and love it! We've had no recall issues with it and aside from regular maintenance, it's never been worked on. Now if you're worried about gas consumption, you might want to pass. I get about 15 miles to the gallon tops. We are a road trip family and it's roomy enough for all of our stuff, this includes things for our two pre-schoolers, with room left over.
