Traveling Sleeping Arrangements

My family will be vacationing in a cabin for a week. I have 18 month old twin boys. They are starting to climb out of their cribs. I need ideas on what to bring for my boys to sleep in and not climb out. I have pack and plays but is there anything to keep them from climbing out or an alternative to pack and plays. I am willing to have them sleep together in something as long as it is big enough for them. Thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

have you had them sleep in the pack n plays lately? they may not climb out like the cribs...they are built differently and in my experience they have to "learn" how to get out of them all over again. if you are in a cabin will they be in your room? if it's a big enough bed could they sleep with you and dad? when we took my son (he was 2 1/2) on vacation for the first time as a toddler, he slept great on a pallet on the floor. i was shocked, but it worked. you never know, they may be so wiped out from the excitement they don't even give bedtime a S. thought...

my daughter was 17 months when she climbed out of her pack and play the day before we left for vacation! what i did was have her sleep in pants that wouldn't allow her to get her leg up on the side, and she couldn't climb out! :-) if they are climbing out another way, that might not work though.

otherwise, you could get those blow up sleeping bags... I bet they would think those are fun!

You can get peapod sleepers. We got one for my son when he wasn't in a bed yet but too big for a packnplay. You zip them in. My son loved his - I would recommend them over a pack and play anyday (lighter, easier, etc). The problem is that they do run around $80, and you would need two. Not sure if that would be too pricey. Have a good vacation!

I remember when my twins started climbing out of their packin plays. What a nightmare! I bought a bed rail at Walmart and put it on a bed with the other side of the bed against the wall when we were on a beach vacation. If there isn't an extra bed maybe they could sleep with you or another family member. It's a hard age!
