Uggs

I waterproofed mine with the Ugg stuff ( got it w/ the boots). I was so annoyed with my husband when he got them for me because I think they're obnoxious & ugly. He got them for something warm & easy to slip on when taking the kids to the bus stop. They are so comfy & warm! I wear them everywhere, now. I prefer them with no socks. If I wear them with socks, they're way to hot , especially since I water proofed them.

I didn't care for them at all, thought they were ugly. UNTIL I got a pair, now I'm in love with them. I actually have 4 pair now.

Your boots will NOT smell in UGG boots if you don't wear socks; it's sheep skin, in fact you are NOT suppose to wear socks with them. I always keep extra socks in my van; never know when you are going to stop at someones house or a bounce house.

I use the UGG spray but I know people use other brands.

Since you can't wash boots, you need to wear socks so that they can absorb the sweat. Otherwise, your overly priced boots will stink to high heaven within a few months.

I enjoy my UGG boots. They are very warm and comfortable. I just used the waterproof stuff from the store. I wear socks with mine (I would never leave the house without socks in the winter), but I have heard you can go without. I wear them in the snow, but I put them away when the snow starts to melt in the spring as they will not keep you dry. I do not use them for spending long hours in the snow, I use my Sorels for that, but they are great for in and out of the van to the store etc.

I wear mine whenever it's super cold outside. They are so comfy and keep my feet so very warm. I have never waterproofed them and they still look great 5yrs later. I would just treat them as any other boot you have. I would probably not wear them to run around in the snow or rain.

My daughter loves hers. She doesn't wear them when it's wet out.... Just when it's cold.
She does wear socks, but I think mostly to put her jeans / leggings tucked in for personal preference.

I wear mine when it snows, but not if it has been snowing for a long time or if it's mushy outside. I don't like getting them really wet.

If you have sweaty feet, wear socks. It shouldn't be a big deal. I love my UGGs. My feet are never cold when I wear them...

No need to wear socks with them. Ugg boots are not meant for snow or wet weather, so leave them at home then. Although personally, I would only wear them around the home to keep your tootsies warm when it's cold.

If you have sweaty feet that tend to smell, you definitely need to wear socks or your Uggs will stink.

Some cleaners do clean Uggs - not sure how.

Don't get them sopping wet (don't step in a puddle) or you'll ruin them.

It says that although you CAN wear them without socks, it's recommended that you wear socks. Personally, I would not want to wear them without socks how much sweat can go into the wool before it's simply nauseating? And what happens when you find out you have a fungal infection or something else going on with your feet? And I think of all the dirt and flecks of skin that you can't wash out of them. Ew!
