All 3 of mine were correct, but I had a friend who they swore was a girl on 3 different ultrasounds and "she" came out a 11 pound boy!
HI Moms!
I had an ultrasound at 21 weeks and they said it was a boy. Has anyone had one where they said it was a boy, and when baby came it was actually a girl. I was secretly hoping for a girl, but glad baby is healthy. Anyway if anyone has had experience with this, please share!
thanks!

My friend had the opposite happen. At her 20-week ultrasound, the technician said it was difficult because of the position but her best guess was a girl. Up to the day she delivered, she thought she was having a girl (a 7lb one at that). She ended up giving birth to a 9 1/2lb boy!
Usually by 21 weeks they can see not only the between the legs shot but also ovaries or testes. I would think that a u/s this late would be pretty accurate.
I was a boy on the ultrasound but obviously came out a girl. But again...that was 30 years ago!!! :) Congrats on ur new pregnancy/little one!!!
***My umbilical cord was in between my legs...hence my misidentification.

A lot of ultrasound techs blog on here. If you submit your photo to them, they interpret the results.
Also, I have heard that it is more likely to confuse a boy for a girl because the organs have not yet descended outside of the body. Once they drop/descend, its pretty obvious it is a boy (unless the cord is blocking it). Keep us posted!!
not here... with my girl the doctor said 75% sure was a girl during the ultrasounds, lol... but with my boys - even early ultrasounds was 100% boy.
Typically if there is a mistake it's when a girl turns out to be a boy. But, it is possible that you could still be having a girl, just not very likely. Congratulations!
My doc said yep all boy and there was no doubt. I love having two boys.
Out of all of the women I know, I have only heard of this happening once. But I wouldn't worry because this happened 26 years ago!
I am having my third boy and I saw the whole kit and caboodle, so I won't expect a baby girl on d-day! I think if you see it all, the tiny turtle, as someone else said, you are having a boy! There is not a lot that can be confused as testicles!! Congrats :D
I had an ultrasound at 32 weeks and they told me it was a girl..... my husband was very upset because we had a girl and he wanted a BOY... lol Much to our surprise out came a boy :)
either way you love them just the same :)
My ultrasounds for my boys...said boy and showed boy. All of the "goods" were present and accounted for. Congrats
Other than Amy I have never heard of a boy turning out to be a girl. Now the other way around happens a lot. I guess there are some shy boys out there.
I was a boy by my strong heart beat...didn't do ultrasound then I guess- but nope never heard of an expected boy baby popping out a girl :) Unless the baby is very 'shy' it is pretty easy to tell when there is a boy growing in there. I didn't want to know with my son but saw him on the ultrasound and said "he's a boy huh?" yeppers! Girls can at times trick ya (i think) but not the other way around. Congrats and don't worry you will get used to the idea of the baby being a boy and grow to LOVE the idea. =)
I have 2 boys, and with both was easy to tell they were boys.:) Congrats!
9/10 if the ultrasound tech detects a BOY, they are right. What gets missed sometimes is a GIRL but the umbilical cord is in the way and thus gives the wrong diagnosis. Most likely you are definitely having a boy!~ Congrats!
