I have no idea but thanks for the glowstick easter egg idea. That's awesome!
Someone at work mentioned they were getting glow sticks to put in eggs and have a nighttime egg hunt tonight. So i'm of course doing that too. How awesome! It made M. wonder what other cool ideas were out there. It doesnt have to be easter related.
So do you have any cool or unique ideas or crafts you do?
we do flash light hide and seek ever since the power went out during sandy
we've done the painting with shaving cream in the tub
havent tried glow sticks in the tub yet
we've got the ingredients to make indoor snow
we've done the cornstarch thing where you mix with water
what else do you guys have for M.?
I had tons of ideas when she was a toddler but now finding ones that entertain us both are harder

When we were kids we had a big tin button/bead box (big wooden beads with big holes running through them).
We were also given empty wooden thread spools to play with.
We'd string the bead, buttons and spools on colored pipe cleaners and make all kinds of shapes and figures.
It was fun and cheap and we played with that stuff till we were 7 or 8 years old.
.... excuse my ignorance... but how do you put glow sticks in eggs?? They're so big and I assume if you cut them the 'stuff' inside will leak?? A night time egg hunt sounds so cool.... so I would love to find out how to pull this off!! :)
Pinterest! Pinterest has so many cool ideas for crafts, food, games, you name it! I don't think you could do them all! Love it! :)
J. wanted to say do NOT put candy in the eggs with glow sticks. J. incase they burst :) Only put money or non-edible items. J. a warning :)
First off pinterest.com has a ton of these sorts of ideas. our world is really changing when everyone can see and do all these new things but there is also alot of pressure and guilt if you aren't doing it.
That said this is somethign i saw and choose not to do because i don't want to add to our traditions because i don't have my act together to add something new i'll have to do every year, and also because it isn't the real reason for the season. but it is cute.
you plant jelly beans in a flower pot or the front yard and then wait for easter and then they sprout in to Lollipops ( wink wink) like magic.
It's rpetty easy to make your own playdough that is fun, any cooking project is fun at that age,
taking empty boxes the size reams of paper come in and making race cars from them etc we cut let holes so the kids can walk in them and they decorate them.
make your own side walk chalk,
there are tons of science experiments you can do with baking soda and vinegar or other house hold items.
