I'm in my second trimester and in need of a vacation before baby is born. I have a 4 year old and 22 month old. Any suggestions that is ideal for little ones and thats not too pricey.

What can I do next?

What about camping? I'm not sure what the weather is like right now or in the near future, but the 4 year old would love it and probably the 22 mo old too. We first took our son at 9 months and he loved it. Last year we rented a lake house. I can't wait to go camping this year with both kids.

How about the beach (or a lake if you are near one that has a good beach). My kids play themselves silly in the sand and the waves, and I can sit and veg out. I love that kind of vacation! You can definitely do it on the cheap if you rent a condo or cabin and bring some of your own food/snacks. Have fun!

I was so not in the mood for camping while pregnant...but the beach idea sounds fantastic! A lounge chair, a huge umbrella, some sand toys and your golden!

Hey,

I like the previous gals camping idea, but with you living in MO, it's probably still a little chilly. So MY suggestion is - do you have a Great Wolf Lodge nearby or anytype of exclusive "splash village". We have quite a few options here in MI for indoor water parks and our son absolutely loves them. Since being pregnant would probably could not go down the big rapid slides, but you could hang out in the lazy river and the kiddie area since you have the 22 month old.
