My son was born February 7th. Due to complications I didn't get to come home til the 11th.
Unless you have a scheduled c-section, your wee one could come in a week, or in the next two and the LAST THING you will want to do is be romantic, I don't care HOW loving and supportive he has been. (realistically)
I vote doing something NOW...like maybe a "pre-valentines day" thing with maybe dinner or cook a special meal...or write him a letter.
I wrote to my other half. Two pages on my own created stationary (its really easy to do and can walk ya through it if ya'd like) that told him how grateful i was to have him there among other things. I also had a picture done of the wee one and me (I had a friend take it) and put it in a frame saying something about Daddy...this was all done WHEN I GOT HOME and man...between breast feedings and pumping and family...WHOOO...man that was not an easy feat indeed...
He however, didn't get me a thing...and yanno what...that's ok too...because he was lost in the beauty that is his first child...and I can't fault him for that.
Many blessings to you and your new addition.
