My husband and I have decided to go with a Vasectomy for him as we do not want any more children. Can any one recommend a local(Western suburbs), doctor for the procedure and we are hoping for a low cost option as we will have to self-pay. Thanks to all.
My husband went to vasectomyclinics as well. He took a preoperative sedative about an hour before the procedure, so someone has to drive them to and back after the procedure. The sedative is to relax them and ease any anxiety. We actually waited in the car, as it only took about 30 mins. We had a family party to go to afterwards, and he did very well. Only a little discomfort.

My husband had this done when I was pregnant with my third child. It is very easy. It is an in office procedure. Small 1 in. incission, a couple days on the couch with movies,ice and tylenol. This doctor is right next to Edwards Hospital in Naperville...he was great. Best Wishes.

My husband had it done in October by Dr Cinel out of the Elmhurst Clinic. I don't know the costs associated with it, but both him and his staff were really nice. ###-###-#### is the office phone. Good luck!

There are no scalpels or needles. No ice packs on the groin all weekend either. Least invasive way possible, and my husband would recommend to anyone!
