The Hy-Vee generic gummy vitamins my kids like, and if those don't work their adult multi-vitamins, but Wal-mart sells some that are chocolate squares, and they taste like tootsie rolls.

Hi, S.! I don't know if you're familiar with Arbonne products, but we give our kids the kids supplements. It's a powder that you mix with water. My kids love them mixed with a smoothie! Let me know if you'd like to try some and I can send you a few!

Hi S.,
We use Mighty Mins. Excellent vitamin that tastes good. You can easily crush them in a little bit of applesauce or yogurt. My kids eat them like candy and it is the first thing to go on their trays, 2 x day.

If you are interested, I carry them in my store on-line and they are the best selling item in my entire store. You can email me at ____@____.com

We use Kids Multi-vitamin by Emergen-C. It is a powdered multi-vitamin that you mix into water, it is strawberry flavored and a little fizzy, like soda. My son loves it--we tell him it's juice and he asks for it every morning. I got it at our local organic food co-op.

If you haven't already gotten your answer, here are a couple more ideas. My daughter has 4 children under the age of 8, all with different tastes. She uses Shakee children's chewables. The little ones love them (Ocean Wonders multi, Vita-C, calcium), the older two are more picky. They all swallow the small pearl of probiotic (OptiFlora). She has used various methods over the years: crush them together in a dedicated coffee grinder, add to peanut butter, yogurt, applesauce, spaghetti sauce(depending if the supplement is more sweet or more savory). My niece uses the powdered multi (CitriBoost, also includes probiotic)in her son's juice. Congrats on reading labels, so important. Watch out for sugars, artificial sweeteners, or colors in children's vits. Look for xylitol as a natural sweetner, it even helps prevent tooth decay! Want more info, www.shaklee.net/healthy-ops

Hi S.,

Arbonne has a great vitamin for kids. You mix with water and it tastes like punch. There are aslo chewy ones like starburst for older kids and great power packs for adults.
All pure, safe and easy to discount shop too. wwwjvoss.myarbonne.com Sincerely J.

Have you tried Carnation Instant breakfast? I know it doesn't have all the vit/mins in a multi, but it's better than nothing in my opinion. Also other cereals, like total or something like that. I'd read labels and see other food items that could help suplement a little. :) good luck. You could ask a pharmacist for assistance too.

Yeah, you can crush the vitamins and mix them in cereal or on toast--that worked during difficult "phases" when my son decided not to take them! I'm not sure about the zinc--you could check with your pediatrician first, but if it's a cold you're trying to prevent/overcome, I've always opted for extra vitamin C.

We were giving our daughter a kind that she used to like but then decided she no longer did. Well, to finish out the bottle, we would give it to her and not giver her a snack until the vitamin was gone. She would eat it right away then.

Now we switched to Nordic Naturals Nordic Berries. We just call them vitamin berries. They honestly taste like candy. BUT they are all natural so they are much better for her then some other kinds on the market. You can get them at chiropractors and such.

S.,

When my sons were 4, 5 1/2 and 8 I found a fantastic product called Kids NOW. It comes in chocolate and vanilla and my boys love it!!

I love that they are in school consistently because they fight off the colds and flus. Also, I do not need to worry whether they are getting all of the correct nutrients since this food based product has been formulated with all they need. The best part though is NO warning labels!!

Just e:mail me at ____@____.com with any questions.

Hi S.,
Have you ever tried a drinkable supplement?
I never had a problem giving my children vitamins but also i never noticed much difference when they took them or not-in otherwords-they were always getting sick. Fastforward 8 years and I learned about nutrition and how majority of vitamin pills are absorbable only at 25-38%. My youngest is now 3 years old and has been using Reliv since he was 3 months old. This is a product that is consumed via a liquid, is absorbable at 98% so getting what it says! Also, major changes in our health. No flu in our house for 3 years, no sick visits to the Dr, and the list goes on. So you got a lot more information then just wondering what else you could try but I am very passionate about Reliv and wish the whole world could know what I do about this stuff! lol.
Blessings and good luck!

Does she not like the taste of any of the vitamins you've given her, or is she simply rejecting the whole notion of taking vitamins??

You could try a liquid vitamin and mix it in with a beverage, without her knowing.

Also, you could just give her a drink like Ensure or Boost. I wouldn't advertise to her that you are giving her a "vitamin" drink, but say you're giving her a chocolate (or vanilla or whatever) drink.

I use Reliv for kids and absolutely love it. It is in a powder form so you can mix it in drinks or even in foods. My kids love it and I have seen improvement in attention at school and overall health and behavior. Our kids formula also has DHA and omega 3's so it is excellent for brain development. If you would like more info let me know.
