I don't know how much that removal will hurt, but I will tell you what else you could try. My daughter had a planters wart on her foot and we got rid of it with apple cider vinegar. We put a cotton ball with vinegar on it each night and scraped the surface in the morning. It took about a month, but it went away and hasn't been back.
I have heard that removal doesn't always work, so you might try the cider vinegar route if it comes back. My daughter wanted to try anything before going to the Dr.

It depends how deep it is.
If it becomes painful I'm sure they'll numb it up.
A little topical Novocaine should do the trick.
I had a plantar's wart when I was 7.
We went to the doctors over and over and it kept growing back.
It was growing into my foot (heel area) and getting close to bone, so the doctor said it was time for something else.
He sent us to a radiologist and they x-rayed it to death.
It was just a short time under an x-ray machine with no film in it.
And THAT finally took care of it for good.

If it's like MY stupid doctor it will HURT! Are you sure its a planters wart? Because home remedies are much better than having the doc do it.

It depends. I've had plantar warts most of my life starting at age 13. I've had from just one to two dozen at a time. I've had them removed slowly with salicylic acid, and had them frozen, and had them disappear on their own if I waited long enough.

I have a high pain tolerance but the large one I had frozen off hurt like h$ll after the novocaine wore off, then it grew right back. The acid hurt, too, when the doctor did it, and it took multiple treatments. I've used the salicylic acid you can now buy at a drug store, and if you are patient and persistent enough, it works and it doesn't hurt.

My ten year old son had one frozen off by the doctor and he told me it felt like a pinch and hurt a little bit after, but nothing bad. He had it removed over a year ago and it has never come back.

How are they removing it? I had one removed with a laser last summer. It was a large planter wart on my heel. I wasn't sure how much it would hurt but when they were ready to begin the nurse assisting leaned down and pushed with force on my leg. I was unsure why until the first laser went and my whole leg jerked from the pain. Then they did 6 more laser shots. Ouch! was an understatement. It hurt but once it was done it was done. It was a quick intense pain but not worse than giving birth but it hurt. They iced it for a while and the pain was mostly gone by the time I was able to leave the hospital about 30 minutes later.

I've had problems with those before. If the procedure at the Dr doesn't work I have a suggestion. I know it sounds weird but if you use a combination of salicylic acid and duct tape it will get rid of the wart! I had problems getting rid of mine even with multiple Dr procedures. It took a couple of Weeks but it did the job! Put the wart remover on and cover with duct tape (tape keeps oxygen from wart and it needs oxygen to live) & keep covered for 2-3 days. Remove tape and scrape away dead skin/tissue. Reapply acid and tape. Continue until wart is gone! I did this about 10 years ago and it has never returned since. Good luck!!!

I had a planters wart a few years ago. My elderly neighbor told me to soak my foot in hot water with Epsom salt. It did that 3 times a day & after 5 days, it had come to the surface of my foot & I just scratched it off with my fingernail. Completely painless except for the pain of walking on it before I started soaking my foot.

It's going to hurt a lot. Get as much done as you can before you go because walking around is going to be tough for a day or two, at least. Make sure you have some help at home.

I had one removed years ago, but I didn't wait until it was so big. I'm sorry that you have such a big wart now - that just makes it worse.

Take care,
Dawn
