Storytimes at the libraries in Tempe, Chandler and the Phoenix branch called Ironwood in Awatukee are good bets.
Hi all, have just moved back to AZ from several years in the UK and have a 2 year old to entertain. We did very regular weekly classes and playgroups there, nearly something different every day. Can anyone recommend any playgroups or classed in the east valley, oher than gymboree? Or is that pretty much it? I would be grateful for any advice, thanks!
Thanks so much everyone - some great suggestions. Now I just have to conquer my ongoing jetlag and investigate some of them!

go to meetup.com I belong to tewo groups east valley little buddies and tempe early explorers. Both groups provide lots of activities and opportunities to connect with other moms. Welcome to Arizona.
I live in Tempe and am member of 2 wonderful Mom's Groups. The first is Tempe Sweet Peas on Meetup and there is stuff you can do everyday on the calendar. The other is the Tempe/Mesa West International Mom's group. You can check out the website by googling. The Tempe Parks and Rec also offer great classes you should check out. Good Luck, you should be able to find lots of stuff.

I'm not sure where in the East Valley you're located, but I'm in North Chandler (Alma School between Elliot and Guadalupe.) I LOVE my MOMS Club International group, we also love Great Play (Ray & the 101,) and I also have a meetup.com group I'm involved in. Feel free to ask me more if you're interested. Good luck!
Check out your local library and/or meetup.com.
