What Color Shoes to Get Her for These Dresses?

My 4 year old has two really nice dresses that she could wear for Christmas. One is a dark red and cream color and the other is black and white. I want to get her some of those sparkly dress shoes that they sell at Target to go with them. I was thinking for Christmas, it would be cute to have the black and white dress with red shoes. But for any other day, I would probably want to put her in either silver, black or off-white ones. If I could, I would just buy all four colors, but alas, I don't. So what color shoes would you get?

What can I do next?

If I could only get one, I would go with black patent leather ones. Festive tights are also nice too if the bottom half of the dress isn't too fussy with prints, patterns or designs.

Just get one red and one black. If you can only get one, I would go with the black, they go with everything no matter what.

Merry Christmas!

If you can only purchase one pair, black is the best bet for both outfits IMO.

Most definitely black. While the other colors are fun, black is the most practical and will probably get the most wear.

Black Mary-Janes are always a classic.
I would do silver or black. Think ahead. Could she wear these shoes with an Easter dress? Silver?
Could she use them for dress up or everyday with jeans? (red??)

okay, you said "sparkly dress shoes".....so I'd go with red or silver. That way, you're totally eliminating the whole cream vs. white on the dresses.

My daughter has black, silver, red, and pink! She wears them all the time, and honestly wears the red ones most often, with everything! I'd buy black to match both dresses if you really have to buy just one pair.

I love the red ones, but they are truly Dodrothy Wizard of Oz shoes. That might take focus away from her pretty little face when everyones asking her to click her heels 3 times. That would narrow it down to black and silver for me.

Balck..classical.

I agree with the red sparkly ones being sorta "ruined" by the Wizard of Oz ideas. I love the show..but it will detract on a holiday form your darling daughters get up. My daughter ONLY wore dresses at that age..seriously, no shorts or pants of any kind would she put on from the time she was about 2 until she was 6..not never. She was easy to shop for. But she always had black shoes excpet for when black soles were ot allowed (like gym at school).

Word of advice however with a 4 year old. If the soles are slippery...I dont' care how inexpensive they are...skip them. You will likely regret them. Opt for better rubber bottomed soles so she won't slip and slide on wood floors at home or church or the mall. DANGER!

My daughter had these great ones with rubber soles and a nice sturdy velcro strap, but looked like a buckle...so looked like Mary Janes!

Red shoes would look so good with the red dress. But I don't think red shoes can be worn with black and white dress without looking mismatched even if it's christmas time. Since you don't want to buy shoes in two different colors, you can get a good black dress shoes , she can wear that with any dress she wants.
