What Do You Think? - Wyandotte,MI

Yesterday was the 'Lunar New Year'.

Seeing all of the defiance and tantrum questions... Makes me think that the Lunar New Year could have something to do with all the craziness.

What do you think? Is it possible?

I've always noticed a correlation to some extent with any full or new moon with people. Maybe I'm just nuts. : )

What can I do next?

Ask anyone who has ever worked in a place for the mentally ill -they will all tell you they notice a BIG difference around full moons! My son's entire class also received "sad" faces they all were so nuts on full-moon day!

didn't notice w/my son - thank goodness! but when i used to work at a state school for developmentally delayed, we ALWAYS noticed a difference. that's when their "behaviors" would come out in the form of biting, hitting, etc. I def think there's something to it!

My mom taught 8th grade for ever. She would come home and say there's a full moon tonight without even looking and sure enough she was always right.

Hence lunatic, lunacy, Luna-Latin moon

When my cat was still alive, he would get all wild-eyed and frisky when there was a full moon. Never failed. I definitely think that the moon phases do play into our natural rhythms and subconcious somehow.

I believe in 'good full moon cycles' and 'bad full moon cycles', but it doesn't go with the lunar new year. Just something I kind of came up with by myself based on my own experiences with the moon, LOL!! BUT, as nuts as it sounds, it rings true for me. Right now, BAD full moon cycle, next moon is Feb 18th I believe, so hang in there mama's, it will get better!! :)

I believe so. My mother is a nurse/working at the same hospital for almost 40 years and she swears that it is always "crazy" during a full moon and often says where do you think the word lunatic comes from? :) If the full moon has such an impact, I believe the Lunar NY could as well.

My husband is a police officer. He & everyone I've ever met in his profession definitely believe in the whole "full moon effect" & there have apparently been statistics done to prove the theory. IDK, I suppose if you look hard enough you can find a statistic for anything, but I'm sure he would know when his busiest time of month is better than anyone!

Great Post
The year of the metal rabbit came in yesterday 3rd Feb.
The tiger year finished. As you might know, the tiger is not going to go quietly and will have his last roar before going.
2010 was quite an intense, unsettled year. This had a lot to do with the tiger influence.
The good news is that that rabbit brings peace and tranquility and a slower pace of life.
So 2011 should be a quieter year with lots of peace talks and focus on the positives. It is the metal rabbit though so there will be a small edge there but nothing to worry about.
Hope this makes sense.
Have a peaceful 2011
B.
ps I also follow the moon cycle, very interesting stuff.
