F.C.
We have had them for a little over a year and they are fun. I actually like them :) We got them at some local stores and also craft stores.
Has anyone heard of Smencils? They are scented pencils and I hear a lot of kids talking about them. Do you have any thoughts on these? And where do you buy them?

Our kids sold them at school as a fundraiser for $1 a piece. I think the price is ridiculous and the kids kept digging around the house for money so they could get all the "flavors". So i think we have over 20 of them! Regardless, I don't know what I really "think" of them? They are flavored pencils and the kids write with them. Good luck!
Its pretty neat... my daughter got some from friends in class.
I found it at a local museum shop.
I'm sure you can find it online.
Kids seems to like them... at least it is practical and can be actually used and not just hanging on a shelf collecting dust like toys can.
I like them myself actually... I collect funky pens/pencils.
my sons class sold smencils as a fund raiser. they are made out of 100% recycled newspaper and they each come in a tube made out of biodegradeable plastic. the tube has a web site address www.smencils.com they sold the peppermint ones and they do smell good! that's about all I know, hope it helps!!
We've got those too...along with the squishy's and silly bandz. $1 each. In Pittsburgh, Learning Express sells them. 100% recycled newaspaper, which may make them less of an environmental controversy! eBay also has them.
What's really cool are the Smencil kits that the child can add the scented oil themselves.
Hey C.! Ari has some from Valentines Day at school. They did those instead of flowers and bought 5 of them. They smell great and Ari loves them! They were only a $1. We were at Micheals the other day and they have them but they were like $3 a peice CRAZY!
My 10 year old son loves them! He buys them at his school for $1 each.
