I week and a half ago my baby was kicking so much I saw little things poking from my tummy now it seems that I barely fill him at all.I know in the books Ive read that its normal to not feel a baby all the time but it went from one extreme to another which has got me a little nervous. Has anyone else went through this? Is it normal? also is it normal to get cramping in your stomach??

What can I do next?

This was the only sign I had for placental abruption, you should go get it checked out NOW. If we had waited our son would have suffered severe oxygen deprivation and I would have hemoraged. Its probably normal, but better to be safe.

I used to worry about this too with both pregnancies...
The babies just don't have as much space as you get further along with your pregnacy. I knew this and still worried. I remember poking my belly with my fingers gently, to "wake up" the baby and feel her/him move. This would usually make him move and make me feel better...

I remember panicking over that..will all 3 pregnancies. The doctor had me drink a sugary drink...A soda for example...and then they'd be poppin'! Try that...I would also inform your doctor.

I went through this with all my pregnancies. How far along are you? that could be it too when the baby does not have as much room to move around.

It is normal to get a little cramping, those can be Braxton Hicks contractions or "false labor". But if they go on for a long time and get closer together or more intense, I would be calling your doctor. Also as others have said as you get further along you may feel the baby less as they have less room to move. But if it is really drastic as in....you can't remember the last time you felt him move, you probably should call your doctor because you should still be feeling him some.

Have you ever heard of www.freecycle.org? It is a great online community of local people that are either giving stuff away or are in need of items. I have given away alot of things I don't need anymore and have recieved alot of clothes and such for my son. Try it out. They have a kenosha community and a gurnee community. As long as you're willing to pick it up, it is a great way of getting things you may need.

As your baby grows they get more and more cramped in there - he might kick less and start rolling and shifting more. This is completely normal. DO continue to keep an eye on your baby's movement and make sure you feel some every day. If you're worried you can always make a Dr.s appt and they can check to make sure there's still a heartbeat etc.

As for the cramping, you may be feeling Braxton Hicks contractions. It took me forever to figure out that that was what i was feeling. If you feel your uterus, it feels really hard if you're having a BH contrax. It's normal - just your body practicing for the real thing.

Hi, I'm also pregnant, almost 28 weeks. Mine kicks more after I eat then lay down. How often comes and goes. Your baby may be facing toward your back, therefore you won't feel the movement as much, that happened to me. This is my 3'rd prenancy also and the cramping is normal. I get it all the time. Your uterus is contracting and expanding which will cause cramping. Hope this helps.
