P.N.
Maybe they are tired of constantly repeating themselves and feeling like no one listens. In that case, I would just call them ignored.
What do you call someone who is like this: If you ask a question of them and you accidentally forgot that you asked it before of them, they will say: I've already told you that, remember? Or if you ask a question, they reply with short answers (and always with a militant, combative chip on their shoulder). I know there is a word used to describe this type of personality/behavior, but it's just not coming into my head!
Thanks!
Thank you....insolent and abrupt was what I was thinking:)

I always say that person is being "short" with me.
Is narcissist what you are looking for? The behavior is at least condescending.
Seriously I can't answer this because at some point in time all of us have done that. It doesn't sound like a personality it sounds like how a fair few people behave when they don't like someone.
Smartass? (Sorry!)
How about "just wait til you can't remember what you ate for breakfast and see how it feels when I talk to YOU like this"?
Works for me!

The human race, at one point or another.
Darn it, Melissa stole my answer.
Other choices are: curt, succinct, arrogant, cynical, terse, rude, awful, and stank.
That's what I would say.
Recalcitrant?
Snippy?
Combative?
Holier-than-thou?
unfriendly, cold, terse, short, blunt
Cranky Pants.
People like that, will be like that to anyone.
It would be amazing if they have anyone who actually likes them.
This person is cranky and difficult to get along with. They may be short tempered. They may be anti-social.
Err....
Snitchy, with a B?
Not an answer to your question, but I work with a woman once a week who tells me the same stories over and over and over. She's in her thirties, so I don't think it's Alzheimer's. It really is annoying, and I have found myself saying "you already told me that, remember?" I feel rude saying that, but she's driving me nuts!
Abrupt sounds like my husband someone who oesnt want o both with u or is upset u keep saying the same thing.
