R.K.
Well it's 5:30 PM my time so I know it's margarita time for both of us.
I just hope the craziness is heading East not West. I'm still looking for May 2012 -- I know it happened but for me it was a whirlwind.
I think the world has gone crazy today. Like I'm in a Dr. Seuss book!! You know the Freaky Friday one?
I am running errands today - there is a man (not a boy but a MAN) riding a skate board down the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!! People are honking at him and he's just as happy as a clam in water pumping his foot along!!! No, I didn't call the police on that one - I should have but thought they may think **I** am crazy!!
Then there was a guy weaving all over the road - so he gets beside me - and I'm like PLEASE don't hit me - he's READING a book - no FREAKING KIDDING!!! He's READING A BOOK and driving!! THAT I did call the police on - he was weaving from one lane to another - and his right side mirror was hanging by a thread!!
THEN I take some items for the picnic my son's school is having and one of the kids (NOT MINE) pulled one of the girls down by her ankles (he was sitting, she was standing) and she landed on her wrist so the nurse had to check her out. I'm not sure what happened but wow....
THEN I go to take my kids over to a friends house. no biggie - I had been doing errands today - and we look at my car and someone hit my new car!!! WTH?!?!?!? No way!! No note, nothing - looks like they misjudged the parking space and from the wheel well forward to the middle of the door there are scuffs marks and two deep gauges (best way to describe it) on the bottom of the door. i called the insurance company - they told me that apparently today is the day for weird stuff - another customer had had someone hit him in a parking lot (left a note where the person who hit my car did not) and said "I'm leaving you a note because people are looking but I'm not leaving you my information. Tough luck." I said I hope you told him to turn it over to the police and see if they can get fingerprints off of it!!
Has anyone else had craziness in their life today?
Yes, Lily - it's real!!! If I hadn't been driving - I would've taken a picture of the skate boarder!! that was just an anomaly and it was just one in a bunch of things!!
Ohhhh yeah!! My new Honda Odyssey has the 'drive flat tires" on it - and one has a nail in it!!! URGH!! So now I need to call the dealership!!
And it gets even better! I was doing some baking today - I forgot to put the brown sugar in my chocolate chip cookies URGH!!! My brownies were hard (they are softening up with the piece of bread in the container!!) but it's been a FUNKY day!!!
AND I saw a DeLoren on the road!! I didn't know they were still on the road!!!
Well it's 5:30 PM my time so I know it's margarita time for both of us.
I just hope the craziness is heading East not West. I'm still looking for May 2012 -- I know it happened but for me it was a whirlwind.
and we're weeks away from a full moon!

I saw that happen once. (Hit a car and leave a note.) I went over to read the note as they were leaving and saw a similar message. I wrote down that I had witnessed the hit and run. Gave my phone number and the description of the offending car, driver and the car's license plate. I never hear back, so I don't know what happened.
But it made me feel good to have written the info on the note. (No, I don't eat the store's grapes before paying for them.) ;~))
Good luck to you and yours.
Other then more grape talk then I've witnessed in my entire life, my day has been pretty chill!!
Oh no, that's not true. A family posted a picture on facebook of her head hanging out her car window like a dog. On a highway. With his TODDLER in his lap. He got a really good scolding from me. What an idiot.
Sorry you had a crazy day!
WOW! Your crazy counter is off the chart today, I think it's best you stay home for the rest of the day!!!
And your poor friend getting a note like that. Hope there wasn't too much damage to his car. People can be such jerks!
is this real??? I think i would have gone back to bed.
I thought you were referring to all the grape and banana questions/comments. I have been busy looking for a car (as you know) and I started looking at posts from current working my way back and I actually stopped a few in thinking, "I'm not in the mood for this today". So now I have popped back on. I actually had a client cancel his insurance today because he HATED MetLife for cancelling his home policy that he left VACANT and didn't tell them so they sent a notice about cancel. Funny, his new agent writes a policy on the VACANT home as his PRIMARY home, just so they can cover it and they leave his real primary home with Met until the vacant one sold yesterday then he emails me and tells me to cancel all his policies because he found an "honest" company that will cover his home. I informed him they actually didn't do anything different...they insured a VACANT home too because his new agent LIED and said it was his primary!!! ARGH! Anyhoo, I know you and no one else probably followed that but all I have to say about these crazies is....KARMA!!!!! Sorry about your new car, the first ding/scratch is always the worst!!! Wishing you a happier day tomorrow. =)
i am laughing because i had one of those moments you were talking about when you said freaky friday is a dr. seuss book - is it really? cuz i'm just thinking of the movies and that's cracking me up. lol!
i did have a wierd day today. i had a staff meeting and through the entire thing one of my most seasoned employees had her nose in her ipod. really?????? it was surreal. i have never been so disrespected during a meeting....and i'm not the B boss either, people like me! (i think!?) lol!
then one of the girls i work with (who happens to be black) informed me that to get a bigger booty i need to walk backwards. seriously.
i'm gonna google that in a minute. the funny part is i don't know her that well and suddenly we got into this somewhat racial conversation that didn't feel wierd at all, about junk in da trunk! lol! wierd day. maybe it's a full moon...lol.
Not today but I have had my share of crazy.
I did have the hit and drive in the parking lot. Scraped the whole side of the car. :(
Oh then the wonderful, and stupid, texting W. who almost ran her two door spec into Troy's work van. Almost wish that one had happened cause I know Troy would be safe.
At least you are home now, right?
Maybe the good thing about today that tomorrow can only be better! (Um... I hope...)
Not so much lately I have been trying to be a hermit this week, I've only left to pick my kids up from camp everyday! I guess you are getting enough craziness for both of us! Hope things get better! I'm with ReverendRuby MARGARITA time~~~
Wow. what a day you've had! I can't believe the nerve of someone writing such a note! Can't say our day's been the same. Except the one day this month that we go swimming, it's cloudy. It's been sunny and high 90s this whole month. But today? Cloudy and 80. The pool was cold. We had goosebumps!
Full moon tonight?
I'm sorry about your car, that really stinks. But, look on the bright side--you could have got into an accident, got injured or killed, been carjacked, or had your car stolen.
It could have been worse. Be grateful that YOU are okay.
That's a seriously crazy day, W.! I have days like that sometimes, but today was pretty normal.
I will say that the driver reading the book, I'd have called the police and "harassed" him until HE called the police if they weren't there fast enough! That's a bad one! On the road off where I used to live, a UPS truck driver (the big ones) was killed because he was reading a Louis L'amour book on the road that goes by the city dump. A big old garbage truck was slowing to a near stop to make a left turn into the dump when the UPS driver, reading his book, slammed into him at about 60mph! All I know is THANK GOODNESS he hit a garbage truck so he was the only one injured. That so easily could have been a mom with children in a normal car, and it would have been so much more tragic!
BTW: I've never heard of drive flat tires. And what? You put bread in a brownies container to soften them up? What is this? And YAY---a Back to the Future car. :) That's very rare indeed.
Our neighbors have 2 DeLoreans, Cheryl! The husband's name is Marty (no lie), so we call them the McFlys. They are a big hit local at car shows. Marty has even taken my husband to the train station in his. Although, my tall husband has to basically fold himself in half to get in it!
I'm sorry about your new car - that sucks!
Wow that is super crazy! At least you got all the "craziness" out in 1 day. You should be good to go the rest of the week.
But seriously, I am constantly asking if people have just absolutely lost their friggin' minds cuz people are doing some seriously crazy stuff these days. Like, REALLY?? Why does there seem to be so many stupid people on this planet? We need to clean up the gene pool here folks!
Sorry, didn't really mean to join the rant :)
So sorry you are having such a bad day! I'm starting to realize that there are a lot of people here in the area that are just plain rude.
I'm not having a great day either. I've been attacked by mosquitos (which I am allergic to) and I found out today that Joseph will be transfering to another area and will have to drive almost an hour everyday, AND they are changing him to grave yard shift. So, I am not happy about that. After he called me, I sat and cried for about 10 minutes. We have dealt with that shift before we had kids and it was horrible. We never saw each other and I have no idea how to keep the kids quiet during the day so he can sleep.
Sorry, I kind of went off on a slight rant. I hope your night goes better than your day :)
OMG.
I am cyber hugging you.
I'm so bummed about your car! I just got a new car too, and I'm still in that protective stage. I know I will be driving it for a long time, so I want it to look good for as long as I can, and it would upset me to have it dinged so soon.
But I'm glad you are okay and safe at home. :)
I'm also in with Rev. Ruby. It's margarita time.
On my way into the city yesterday, on one of the busiest three lane streets that runs through Philadelphia, a man was driving back and forth on two of the three lanes, all filled with traffic, wearing no helmet or protective gear, on only the back wheels (with the front wheels in the air), with a child on the back! Then, directly in front of me, they switch places and the child drives, also in a straight wheelie with the front wheels in the air and the man's back nearly touching the ground! While moving, they decide to switch places once more. After we go a few blocks, we pass a police officer, who doesn't even look up when the noisy four wheeler passes her. Maybe the craziness is sweeping the coast!
Saw a Deloren on the road the other day in Portland, OR. Guess they are still on the road:)
I notice at work when it is a full moon the crazies show up. No joking.
HOLY COW! If I didn't know you Id say no way. That is a crazy day, Cheryl!!
Someone hit Jeff's truck years ago when we went out to dinner, no note or anything. I think we had to pay our deductible to get it fixed...something like a no-fault accident. Oh that made me SO mad! He also got hit when he was sitting in his truck at Walter Reed. The girl hit his truck, and then proceeded to park next to him. She got out to walk away and he stopped her. The cops came and she had to pay for it. Some people are IDIOTS!!
