My son has crazy eczema that the doctor has attributed to lactose intolerance (I'm intolerant as well) so we have him on soymilk now...doctor said for us to make sure to give him an extra helping of fish each week now. WHAT KIND OF FISH????! Fish sticks can't be the only option, much less the healthy one! I haven't started the fish yet because of this. :)
I tried salmon last night, he LOVED it!

For a kiddo, i would think a white fish like halibut or talipia would be good. Not to fishy tasting or smelling.
Salmon. It's a good "oily" fish with lots of the beneficial fish oils.
SH is correct. Salmon is the very best. Its also very good for you and your hubby. It lowers cholesterol. :) Get the fillets,as they have no tiny bones to deal with. There are all different ways to prepare it. Even on the barbi its great. Natually fresh fish rather than breaded or deep fried is the best. Its easy to digest as well. The best to you.
White fish (of any kind, such as dover sole, tilapia, cod) are typically not allergens. They do not have high contents of Omega 3's in them and this possibly what the doctor was looking for when "prescribing" an added helping of fish a week. children with eczema need extra fats in their diets such as egg yolk, avocado and Omegas.
I have treated numerous children with eczema and cleared by simple natural methods. If you are interested, contact me through my website at www.balancedvitality.com
The best is the highest in Omega-3 and Omega-6... I also use the BEST skin therapy from Melaleuca called Renew. Here's the link http://www.melaleuca.com/ps/index.cfm?f=ps.productDetail&...
