What's "The Mom Team"??

What does that tell all of you? The secrecy, I mean?
ITS A PYRAMID SCHEME!!!!!
They involve melaleuca products. I guess because this "COMPANY" involves a product, it makes the pyramid legal. Its multi-level marketing. You see, these folks get you to join up to be a member. Not to buy the products, mind you. The products themselves are of no importance. You are required to "get" other people to join "under you". Hence,the word pyramid. Really, only the fat cats on top are making any real money. The poor little people on the bottom arent makin' squat. Its all the little people that are making the cash for the fat cats. If you really want to know exactly what it is, watch King of Queens. The episode where Doug gets into "selling" water filters. He is not required to sell the filters, he is required to get OTHER PEOPLE to "sell" water filters. Its the same with the melaleuca.
All in all, I would recommend anyone interested to do their homework before signing on the dotted line. Once they get their hooks in ya' its hard to get out!!!

yes they are with Melaleuca. I signed up under my niece. I just joined 1 month ago. The products are wonderful and organic. You have to buy these products no matter what you do. So you buy them from melaleuca monthly and you sign up other people to do the same. I do not have website. The bottom line to any home based business, yes you are helping someone make money and you can help yuorself and other people can help you make money. Isn't that what we have done all of our lives? Everytime we buy something anywhere someone else will be making the profit so why not you?

Hey P., I was with one of the Melalueca mom groups a few years ago. I LOVED the products. They make an antiseptic balm that is GREAT for maosquita bites. My daughter is quite a hypochrondriac drama queen and it is wonderful for her. She can come in and put a bit of it on for herself without making a huge mess. I wouldn't let the little ones like yours do that but later on they could. Also, the candles were WONDERFUL. I gave them to all my female relatives and they all came back asking for more. You don't have to sell the products but you do have to order a certain amount every month. If you find someone else that likes the candles or other products as much as you do you can sign them up. It was relatively low maintenance and I would do it again. What actually happened is my credit card on file expired and I never updated it so I just quit buying the stuff. I didn't quit because of anything negative. My sponsor was in Austin but I never met her. She was nice and helpful but there was not that much to help with. If you like to use candles and tea tree oil products it is a cool deal. Tea tree is good for preventing head lice which kids get exposed to a lot in elementary school and daycare. Hope that helps!

I am with you P., I would love to know exactly what they do! It seems like everytime you ask someone, they just tell you it's great and ask you to contact them, but they NEVER seem to want to give a basic explanation as to what they do!! That seems kind of fishy to me, like there is something to hide?? Maybe it's just me, but I am sceptical about things like that. Anyway, good luck in getting information.

I havnt heard of the mom team???

i'm skeptical of any organization that won't just come out and tell you what they do when you ask. The whole "contact us and we'll call you" to me is a waste of my time if i'm not interested and I can figure out whether or not i'm interested by reading a few sentences that are straight and forward explaining what the "job" entails.

Okay I think I've piece together some of the puzzle out there with all those different sites offered by so many different moms, who all claim the same thing. By joining with the MOM team or similar, you are offered a free website, which explains why there are so many moms out there referring you to their websites. They all are legitimate sites, but I think they all have the same goal which is to get you to support the melaleuca products. It is somewhat of a pyramid scheme, but it's a little safer I think b/c you don't have to shell out any money or waste that much time to make an informed decision, maybe 20 minutes, to listen to that live call they keep talking about. I have been contacted by someone from melaleuca, after she pretty much gave me her life story, I cut her off, (nicely of course!) and asked her point blank what she does. She pushes the melaleuca products, you can check out the site. They sell environmentally safe products for your home/health. You aren't necessarily pushing these products, but rather act as a support system for existing customers. You yourself are also required to buy a certain amt to meet the "points" requirement, but supposedly it's not hard to do as their products are things you would use monthly, like laundry detergent for example. Anyway, this is too long. I'm not trying to discourage or encourage, this was just my experience. After speaking with the rep mom for about 45 minutes I think, with her kids in the background, so I think it's real, she sent me more info via email, and I have yet to hear from her. I guess she's not trying to be pushy so that helps. Ok, good luck and hope I didnt rant too long. Hope this helped!! I can also fwd you the info she sent me. Just let me know!
