What's Your Favorite Park/Playground?

I know you asked about St. Paul but we're just across Ford Bridge in Minneapolis and there's two fantastic play areas there. Waburn (sp?) Park is along the river/by the Vets home and next to Minnehaha Park. Waburn has a brand new zero depth wading pool with water sprinklers that is tons of fun for little ones, new restrooms, and two small playground areas. We go there at least once a week. Also, just 3 blocks north on 42nd Ave and 43rd St is Hiawatha Park with one of the biggest play structures that I've ever seen. There's another smaller playground next to the rec center and also another wading pool and playing fields. These parks have totally entranced our little one so we haven't ventured out further. Just found Wabun Park. In Minnehaha Park...The corner near where the Ford Parkway bridge comes into Minneapolis. New, cute splash pad with bathrooms right there. Also has a playground though can't say its anything special. Just loved the splash pad

The best park in St. Paul, in my opinion, is the Treasure Island playground at Expo Elementary. It's a huge wooden structure that twists and turns--great for running and it's got all the features like monkey bars (even small ones for little kids), climbing areas, swings, etc. The school buidling isn't open but there's a porta-potty there all summer. Expo is 1/2 block south of Randolph on Warwick. At the end of the school block you turn left twice to get behind the building.

Central Park in Roseville just off of Lexington is a very large park with a lake and walking path. It is very pretty, big, sitting/picnic areas, and bathrooms.

In Saint Paul I like Hazel Park for my toddler because the playground is nice, the recreation center is right there, and there is a huge field for him to run around.

When I was little we always used to go to Battle Creek park on McKnight- I remember that being a good one but I haven't been there for probably 8-10 years.

Right behind the Phalen recreation center there is a small playground and a couple of huge fields- I like that one for my toddler too.

Lexington Park in Roseville - there is a fishing dock and playground and lots of tables including a shelter. That is a great park for a picnic. ********I realized that this park is not Lexington Park---it is Central Park, off of Lexington and County Rd C*******

The best park of all, in my opinion, is in Minneapolis: Brackett Park. It is awesome. Perfect playground for any age with really cool structures, building with restrooms [I guess it is sort of a rec center because they have one or two staff people], nice neighborhood, some picnic tables, big baseball field, and a great wading pool.

I live in east St. Paul and I have been driving around looking for nice parks all summer! I look forward to the responses as well
