B., tyroid problems affect fertility, but that does not mean that you cannot become pregnant. I have hypothyroidism and it took a while to have my second baby; my doctor wanted me to see a specialist. At that time, I made an appointment with one, and the next day I found out I was pregnant!. So, keep trying..it will take more time...
Good Luck!

hey there I'd get checked out by a Dr. but also stress may be a significant issue, having read some of your previous posts, it seems you may have a lot on your plate, problems with the ex who is very abusive to you, two children, and you and your boyfriend may need to stop and consider making a permanent commitment before starting a family together, I'm not trying to preach to you about marriage but with all that you have been through I would be leery of bringing a child into the world if I wasn't sure the dad was going to make a full commitment to helping raise it.

Being diabetic can certainly be a factor. If you aren't currently taking anything to control your diabetes, talk to your doctor about Glucophage (Metformin), although it is only used in patients with Type 2 diabetes. http://www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com/glucophage-metformin-pc... This website is informative on Glucophage and pregnancy issues. I would also have your doctor run some blood tests to see what thyroid problems you have. I had 3 miscarriages and each time the doctor's wanted to know if I had thyroid disease. Your thyroid can easily be regulated with medicine.

Try not to stress yourself out with your current situation. I'm sure that your OB could run some simple tests to help with your diabetes and thyroid. Best of luck to you!

There are always a number of factors that could keep you from getting pregnant. Stress, medical, him, her, time, even wanting a baby too bad (stress). Are you keeping your medical conditions under control? If not, that could be a problem.

My husband and I had intercourse for eight years before we finally had our baby.

Hi B. C.- You may want to talk to your doctor. I do know that thyroid issues can affect fertility. But again, go talk to your doctor. Something to consider is that it may not just be you. I am older but am having trouble with getting baby #2. My doctor has ordered a semen analysis for my husband. Good luck!

Diabetes can afffect fertility also. If you are trying there is a medicine called metformin and I was on it and it gelps your insulin be normal and it helps you also get PG. If you are on medicine for cntroling diabetes. After being on it it allowed me to get PG without any other fertility medicine. Go to your Dr and both thyroid and diabetes can affect it.

When I was too thin, I couldn't get PG. Turned out I wasn't ovulating. Gained 15 lbs and was pregnant in 6 months!

When I was trying to get pregnant with my daughter, I went to the doctor all upset because it had been six months and..nothing. She told me it's AVERAGE to take six months, so don't worry about it taking nine months. You can try tracking your periods & also, take your temperature every morning BEFORE you get out of bed & write it down. When you look at the temperatures over a couple of months you should see a pattern, related to your cycle. The first day of your period is called Day One. You probably ovulate around Day 10, or when you see a jump in your temperature. So be sure to have sex after that. Or every day that you aren't on your period!!
