I would wait until about 1 - 2 months after weaning. Mine went from 36B to 36DD then back down to 36B again so I didn't have to buy any new bras. Total bummer because I loved being a DD!
I am in the process of weaning my 10mo. old son. We're down to only one early morning feeding a day. It's been a wonderful experience, but the time has come for both of us to move on. I am desparate to go out and buy some new bras but am wondering how much more is my size going to change when this is all done with. I'm sure everyone's body is a little different. I've gone from a 36A to a 40DD and back down to a 36C. Thank God for friends lending nursing bras and tops or I think I'd have had to buy every size out there. Anyways... at what point did you size become consistant after nursing. I'd like to buy some new bras that actually fit the way they are suppose to!

I hate to tell ya, but your best bet is to go buy a bra that fits NOW, and if your size changes, go buy a new one. My breasts didnt' change much after nursing my oldest for so long, but after my youngest, they did 'deflate' a little, he was 18 months when he weaned. They didn't really get smaller, jsut not as 'round' and I did need to go down a size.
So my advice is to go buy a good bra now, and when you notice the fit isn't right, find a new size. Everyone is different so its hard to say, you may stay the size you are now, you may shrink back to your pre-baby size......
The clerk in intimate apparel at Macy's recommended waiting at least a month after your very last nursing to give you breasts time to stop making milk and reduce to their normal size. I was sooo glad I waited! I just went back a few nights ago and had changed from a D to a B. Its definitely worth the wait.
If you need bras now, go get a couple that fit but don't go overboard. About a month after I stopped nursing (12 months), I could fit my prepregnancy bras perfectly. When I stopped nursing I lost a few more pounds relatively quickly, and I'm sure this affected sizing. So, if you think you will lose some weight in the next few months your size will probably change. I too have a drawer of bras every size under the sun!
