I want to find a Santa that lets kids get on his knee and make requests. My 2.5 year old would like to have a conversation with him. Every night she says, "Santa hug Lexi tomorrow on Saturday?"

What can I do next?

My daughter is almost 12 now but we went to Northpark every year to see Santa. He looks so real. He is actually a psychology professor in Austin (so I heard). Anyway, get there early. If it is like it was when we went,,,he would come down the chimney at 10 and tell stories and after that children would go talk to him. Expect a wait. He is popular and I have waited as long as 3 hrs. They do have a number system so you can go shop and come back to check on your number status. Hope that helps. ALl of my daughter's santa pictures are with him. I have all 6 on my mantle and it bring back precious memories.
Happy holidays!!

We see the Santa Claus at Willowbend Mall. Why? Because the Willowbend mall isn't as busy as the others and the lines aren't that long. I have 3 yr old and 1 yr old girls, and we have visited him the past 3 years. He is actually very nice, and does let children sit on his knees and takes requests. I'm not sure what the theme is this year, but last year they had a Narnia theme, and they even had a little room with snow falling. My then 2 year old thought it was the coolest!! :)

Merry Christmas to all!!

We go to Collin Creek Mall every year. I choose a Monday night and if we have to wait it's for one other child. He's the same Santa every year and most of my daughters pictures are with him and all of my sons are. Makes for a nice arrangement on the table and helps them 'believe' longer. This year we spent quite a bit of time talking to Santa. My 3 yr old gave Santa his pacifier. Santa was so proud of him and told him several times what a big boy he was and how proud Santa was of him.
I can't imagine a Santa that doesn't allow the kids to sit on his lap and talk to him.
Since you kids are young I would try to pick a time during the day when most people would be busy elsewhere. I like going at meal time. We see Santa and then eat in the food court. A very special treat.

the santa at willow bend is amazing plus there is rarely ever a line - we went and actually had to try twice with my 2 1/2 year old and he sang to her to try and make her feel comfortable and was very nice - i highly recommend going to willow bend - we got a beautiful picture there and have for the past 3 years - good luck!

We also just went to the Willow Bend mall and the Santa was super sweet. It wasn't crowded and they have this whole "Happy Feet" experience that you can walk through, too.

A not so busy Santa is at The train store at LBJ and Skillman in North East Dallas every Sunday from 1 to 4 until Christmas. You can just talk and not take a picture. Let me know if you need anything further.

We took my 9 month old to see the one at Northpark. He was great. You go and get a number and they give you an estimate of when to return. Then you shop and eat while waiting. The best thing for me is that they allow you to take pictures with your own camera and you do not have to buy theirs at all.

The BEST Santa EVER!!
The Dallas Arboretum has a great Santa. There were no lines, and he was so sweet with my one year old twins last year. Also, The photograph was beautiful. We blew ours up and framed it. I think it was Gittings. Only @ $15. Call them to find out times and days he will be there.

Oh and MOST important- No cheesy mall backdrops!!! Or cheesy mall atmosphere.
