Old El Paso brand makes them but they don't taste like the restaurant variety. Look in the Mexican food section of your grocery store. You can also make your own. Lots of ideas if you Google it.
Hi Moms! Crazy question but I love to eat Taco Salad in the tortilla bowls that so many restaurants serve. I would love to fix those for myself at home but I have no idea where I could buy those tortilla shels that are shaped into a bowl. Has anyone seen them in a store? I live in S. Arlington, so I don't want to travel all over the Metroplex, but I'd really love to find a place I can buy them. Thanks!

My deep fryer came with a gadget that makes them. You place the tortilla in that clamp and lower into the fryer. Makes wonderful taco salad shells and you can use any kind and size of toritillas.
Kroger has them in the bakery section next to tortillas. Ask if you don't see them. They go fast.
WalMart has them on the shelve next to the Taco shells. You need to put them in the oven on about 400 for about 5 minutes to crisp them.
Also, there is a FasTaco place in Venus (it's a chain so there are probably some in Arlington) - theirs are wonderful!
I've seen them at a lot of grocery stores - have you looked at the area where they have the biscuits? I found them there - flat in a box and ready to go. Also found that I could take a corn tortilla and spray it with Pam - flip it upside down on a round baking dish and bake until crisp. The ones you buy at the store taste a whole lot better! :) oh - Kroger, Walmart - I believe they both carry them. Good luck!
