Hey ladies. Does anyone know where I can donate misc. items such as clothes, porcelin dolls and other items in the Orlando area? My two year old is out of town for the week so I am cleaning out our house. I don't want to take them to Goodwill. I want to take them someplace where I feel they will be appreciated. I've checked with my church and they don't know esp with the dolls. The porcelin dolls are in great condition but won't sell on Ebay. Anyone have any ideas where I can donate anything. Your help is greatly appreciated.

So What Happened?

I decided to donate my items to The Mustard Seed and very glad I did. My husband and I drove the stuff down and felt as if they were very grateful for the items. I wanted my porcelin dolls to be put to good use and I feel very confident that they will. My husband was also very impressed with their operation. Thank you for the advice and information!

Hi C.,

You might want to consider Mustard Seed. They warehouse household items (including toys & clothes) for people who have suffered tragedy, disaster or homelessness and are ready to take control of their lives. When they move in to a place of their own they can select items from the warehouse to set up their household. Since many of these people have kids the dolls would be appreciated. Here is their website:

Hope this helps,
S.

Winter Park Day Nursery
741 S. Pennsylvania Avenue
Winter Park, FL 32789
###-###-####

This day care/nursery provides day care services for lower income working families (83% are single parents). I've donated a lot to them and they've taken practically anything I've brought and let the parents decide what they want/don't want.

It's been very rewarding to give to this place. They are always very appreciative.
