My 11 year old is going as a 50's girl tomorrow and I need a white botton down blouse for her. Just realized this! Gah! I am toting 2 kids with me so I want a one-stop errand. Any ideas?
Our goodwill closes at 6pm, right when I get off! Darn!
You can get a boys button down shirt at Walmart. Look on the wall with the ties and dress up pants.
Old Navy, Target, Sears, and JCPenney all have a uniform section that should have a white button down blouse. I would definitely call the stores first to see if they have them before running around. But I'd start with these stores. Can you get away with a white t-shirt? That's what I wore with my poodle skirt and with black capris when I went fifties.
Since the Thrift Stores closed (Are you sure? Don't you have more than just a Goodwill?) and would have been your best cheapest bet...the next best thing would be Walmart!

Penny's was the first thing that popped in my head. That's where I always got mine for my school uniforms.
Kohls. I don't know if you'll find a blouse, but a button down shirt, even a boys one, you should find there.

I would think just about any department store. But if you don't see anything in the girls section, just go to the men's. They'll have a ton!
