I know that I wouldnt recomend the Liberty......a family memeber has one and it is sooo tiny inside. I am only 5'3 and my head almost hits the roof, you cant fit 2 car seats next to eachother without it being very painful on installing them. Plus the car seats end up leaning over. Hope this is osme help.

Mileage on these vehicles is going to be your enemy here on all these vehicles. All three can be very costly to repair they have alot of parts you can only get from the dealer, there is no aftermarket sources for them. Any of them close to 100,000 miles? At this point in a car's life you can expect to have to start replacing front end suspension and steering parts, a transmission could be in the future year or so, timing belt replacement and much more, get a good extended warranty.........Pay the money get as much as you can afford, watch for gasket replacement as an "extra" if it is get it if you can. A blown head gasket can cost $$ and I have seen extended warranties not cover them because the head itself didn't fail....No gasket coverage... Take the one that you are most interested in and have it put on a lift and checked out good from the top and bottom. If you have any further questions please email or call. We check out cars all the time that our customers are thinking about buying and would be glad to help out if we can. We can't predict the future but we do try to at least find things someone may be trying to hide.

BFF has an 03 Sequoia and it gets 14 mpg!!!! It is HORRIBLE! The vehicle itself is very nice but be sure you are ready for terrible terrible terrible gas mileage.

My SIL has a Durango that is probably a bit older than what you are looking at and she has had really good luck with it.

We just got an 06 Trailblazer and I LOVE IT!!!! It gets 21 mpg and is perfect for us. Ours doesn't have the 3rd seat but a friends does and she gets 19 mpg. Hers is an 03 and has 98000 miles and she's NEVER had trouble with it!

I had a Dodge Durango a few years ago. I LOVED it and would still be driving it but my husband got hit by another drive and it got totaled : (

We had two kids at the time and there was always plenty of room. It ran great, very easy to drive and very comfortable. Didn't feel like an oversized SUV to me nor to small....it was just right.

I've seen the inside of Libertys and I think you'll have more room with the Durango.
I haven't seen the other one listed so don't know about that one.

Good luck with your search!

Personally, I say skip the Durango - it is a huge gas guzzler - We had one and kept it for only three months before we traded it in for something else, it drank gas like crazy!

To answer your question, Toyotas are known for being a superior vehicle. To add my own two sense, I drive a Toyota Sienna and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Don't know if you are really committed to getting an SUV, but minivans get way better gas mileage, have more space AND are safer in accidents! I know minivans aren't very sexy (lol), but I am a HOT, 31 year old full time fitness instructor with 3 kids ages 12, 10 and 8 and my Toyota Sienna is my dream car! Good luck! ;)

You didnt ask for mileage info so I will get to the point, in terms of best car, you cant even compare the durango and liberty to the sequoia. Toyota's are excellent vehicles. They last forever. Even if its a later model, its way better than dodge or jeep. Just be careful that it doesnt have TOO much mileage on it. good luck.

My vote is for the Durango. With you having two kids, it has more space on the inside for kids to be comfortable.
I don't know for sure about the gas mileage on any of the cars you listed but since you're already interested in an SUV, it must not be of a great concern for you. If you're looking for comfort and a dependable nice car, go for the Durango.

Take care!!
