Sorry, now I have another question.. ok, 39 weeks pregnant and it's hard to describe exactly how it feels but I'm hoping someone else has experienced maybe something similiar so you can help me understand what it is or why? I feel sore in my vaginal area. It's not from having sex so I know it's not that..but it just feels sore, almost like it's throbbing..? Has anyone else had this? I can't figure it out..

What can I do next?

I felt the same thing w/my youngest and a week later I had the baby but I did have to stay at the hospital because I was high risk w/complications throughout my pregnancy. I would definitely check w/your dr cause your baby's head could be turning and getting ready to see the world.

Good Luck,
M.

Hi, K.. I did not experience this with my 1st pregnancy, but I did with my twins. Is everything starting to "swell"? You may be dilating, honey. Does it feel like your baby is about to fall out? I just remember this feeling all too well! I had the boys the next week!
I have an 11 year old daughter and 21 month old twin boys! (my daughter is K.!!!)

You just lost your plug right? It's probably the baby's head getting ready to come down... dialiting... ck with your doctor's office in the morning if it doesn't go away! (Keep us posted!!!)

It sounds like your baby girl is engaging!! There is a lot of pressure in the vaginal area because the babys head is getting in position. I lost my mucus plug one night, felt the same feeling by the morning, and had the baby that afternoon. Be sure to check in with the doctor in the morning. And, pack your bags, eat while you can, and you should be seeing this baby very soon!! It could be a long couple of days for you, or it could go very quickly, I had a 6 hour labor start to finish with my first, so please trust your instincts, and go to the dr when you feel it is time. Good luck ~A.~

K., My guess is that your baby is pretty low in your pelvis and the pressure and lack of blood return is making you sore. Its very common in the last week or so of the pregnancy. Sometimes ladies have little varicose veins down there and when you have that much pressure in your pelvis it causes them to fill with blood and the blood has a hard time leaving the area. All this to say, its really pretty normal and you will get your body back when this baby decides to come! Blessings!
