So basically something for the evening of Friday, Saturday afternoon/evening, and Sunday morning/early afternoon. It will be too cold to do Busch Gardens I tihnk...so what else is there to do?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

It snowed pretty decently the Saturday we were there so we took advantage of the indoor pool at the resort!!

If it happens to be the weekend of the 23rd, Sinfonicron will be putting on the Gilbert and Sullivan production of the Gondoliers in the Phi Beta Kappa hall on campus. http://web.wm.edu/so/sinfonicron/upcoming.php

It's a family-friendly show, student-directed and produced, and (usually) very funny and entertaining! Hopefully you will have a chance to do some of those other great suggestions too.

I'm a W&M grad, so here's what I would suggest. Some of it depends on how old your children are:
- tour W&M campus
- tickets for a W&M basketball game
- Ghost tour is a MUST... not scary, but really fun. Then go to Aroma (if it's still there) for hot chocolate and s'mores
- 15 minute drive to Jamestown to see the first settlement
- tour any of the plantations (beautiful views of the river)
- walk along DOG (Duke of Glouster) Street and just go in-and-out of all of the buildings
- Eat in one of the taverns... Christiana Campbell's is amazing but a little pricey- was the hot spot for graduation
- Attend Sunday service at Bruton Parish on DOG street
- Tour the original Governor's mansion and capital building
- Kids can make candles and candies
- Definitely have lunch at the Cheese Shop... great sandwich place!

Can be pricey but The Great Wolf Lodge is SO fun with the kids. My husband and I went this last year - begrudgingly b/c we aren't "water park" people but we wanted to do something fun w/the kids. We ended up having a blast! Look online for discount codes.

I agree - Krista has some great ideas!! We just took my girls (ages 7 and 9) and had a blast. I don't know where you're staying, but we went to the Woodlands hotel. You can walk to colonial Williamsburg - or take a little shuttle. We walked there, but took the shuttle back - it worked perfectly! We also got a suite, which was fabulous. My kids liked Jamestown better than Williamsburg. They have a whole little set up with an Indian Village, replicas of the 3 ships that came over, and then the settlement they created. Very cool. Have fun!

I agree with Krista P. Those are the highlights. I might add that there are shopping outlets, if that's what you want to do. Also, Busch Gardens will be closed in January.

Bush Gardens will not be open in January. There is Colonel Williamsburg, Jamestown (kids I think like this one more), We do have a Inflation Nation where the kids could bouncy all day long. If you don't mind driving to Newport News you could go to the Virginia Living Museum - you will pass the Patrick Henry Mall along the way which has all of the big name stores). We also have The Candy Store. I wasn't impressed with the Cheese Store, Sandwiches might be good but it is very dirty looking inside. Ripley's Believe It or Not is here.

Prime Outlets for shopping! Not much at pottery anymore, but you could check it out. Old towne may have something. Good luck.

I second the motion to go to the Cheese Shoppe. Yum. Also if you can fit it in, hit Pierce's for BBQ. There is a Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg which I've never been to but it sounds like fun. It has an indoor water park!
