What's your favorite store to shop for fun?

For little, fun items?

Why?

Do you often go there & let yourself pick up something inexpensive?

What can I do next?

I love to shop at thrift stores. Goodwill is my favorite. I can buy some really nice things for very little money. I like to change my dishes and I can do this often with thrift store dishes. I like decorative items which I can buy for cheap and then donate them back when I'm tired of them. My grandchildren love stuffed animals. Even famous brands cost just a couple of dollars. And I can get a new outfit for less than $10.

The antique store down the road! It fills up an entire strip mall. I could spend hours in there with the 'shop cat' following me around, just looking at stuff, picking them up, touching them, looking for that ONE special treasure I 'have' to take home with me :) .... [sigh], I might have to go today now!!

Earthbound is fascinating to me. So is Kirklands, World Market and Pier One. I could stay in those stores all day. I rarely buy anything, but I have the best time window shopping.

When I just want to spend under $5 but get a little retail therapy I go to...

Dollar Tree
Thrift stores
The One Spot at Target

I'm a thrift store junkie. It's hard to do much damage to the budget there. and I love that the money I spend there all goes back into the community.

actually, i LOVE dollar tree. i LOVE the fact that i can walk into a store, and ANYTHING I SEE, i can buy. wierd, i know lol. and most of the time i spend less than $10.

also, i have become addicted to Fashion Bug. they are always having sales, and i have practically bought a whole new wardrobe there this fall. also, their jewelry is always on sale bogo 50% off, so i almost always get something. and for this historically-jeans-and-t-shirt girl, that's a big deal. i never accessorized a day in my life until the last year. a few weeks ago i even bought my first scarves! i am so happy :)

I wish I had one of those stores!!

I like target, but I try not to shop too much unless i REALLY need something. Stupid money...
I tease myself though and I go look at Dick Blick (An Art store) and pretend I have tons of money to spend on all the art stuff I would LOVE To have.
I get to buy stuff slowly. Like right now I'm waiting on my order of special pens from there that I bought for my b-day.
Maybe for xmas, I will be able to get more..

That or used book stores! I love those~

99 Cents Only has great items of all sorts. I love the Amaretto Coffee creamer and you never know what you will find in the hair goodie or the school supplies aisles. I like to use mechanical pencils & gel pens, you can find the expensive ones there for a buck. Oh, too, I hate having to walk up to the lounge to wash my coffee cup as it takes 3-4 minutes so I buy disposable coffee cups with lids, a weeks worth for a dollar, then toss um. Totally worth it to me.

My favorite online site is 6pm.com. I got leather flip flops there for the summer for under $20. They have all sorts of good deals.

World Market, they have all sorts of fun stuff and candy/foods from different countries.

Target, because it's Target

Anitque stores and Thrift stores, you never know what you will find.

I can't just go shopping. We are way too busy with homeschool and swim team/band/fencing/Scouts/youthgroup. I go shopping when we need something, then it's either Walmart or Dick's Sporting Goods

Michael's because I like to scrapbook, crochet and always looking for some fun craft my kids can do.

I usually don't spend much, just browse and I always use a coupon. In fact I'm going there today. :)

I teach preschool and my favorite places to shop for little stuff is Hobby Lobby and The Dollar Tree. I probably go at least once a week to both. They're in the same shopping center so that helps, Lol.

We have two Second Hand Shops right here in town. Even tho I don't have a lot of money to waste, I still "treat" myself with something once in awhile; usually a book or sweater. I am always amazed at the really nice things they have. My sister collects dolls and my daughter collects paper weights so these are perfect places to find collector items at great prices.

Deals and Dollar Tree are also fun when I need party supplies/favors.

Good question!!!

Two boutiques near my house pop to mind...
"Something You" in Cerritos and "Pieces of You" in Seal Beach. They always have something fun, unusual, one of a kind and usually not too expensive. My 13 year old daughters love em too. Ikea is another guilty pleasure. I love walking through the showrooms for inspiration, and picking up a 99 cent pack of straws or cocktail napkins in the marketplace to get my shopping fix.
