We use Ecos. It has a very light and pleasant scent and gets reasonable clean results. We buy it at Costco and it is affordable as well.
Good luck.

My family used All Free and Clear my entire life, because I have sensitive skin and generally can't handle anything scented, but I recently began looking for more environmentally friendly cleaners as well, specifically wanting one that is biodegradable.

Because it was recommended by lots of people when I did my search, I decided to try Ecos. My Costco only sells the Magnolia & Lily scented variety so I was really hesitant given my sensitivities but it was on sale and they have a great return policy, so I went for it. And I'm so glad I did. The scent is from essential oils and is pretty light overall. It's nice to have lightly scented clothes for the first time ever, and I haven't had any problems with it irritating my skin (which is an outright miracle for me). AND, it cleans great.

It's also somehow "softer" on clothes, so I can skip fabric softener without noticing much difference. AND it's cheaper per load than All because you use such a small amount per load. I've got an extra container of All sitting in my garage that I'll probably never use, it's that good...

Charlie's Soap and Eco Nuts. Both are truly green! Almost all major companies that tout "green" or "organic" are guilty of greenwashing, which is the practice of using manipulative marketing to promote a product or idea as environmentally concious or healthy to increase profit, when in actuality, the products contain many of the same harmful chemicals as their conventional counterparts.

I will offend a lot of people if I start listing companies so I encourage you to do a LOT of research. Beware of companies that refuse to list their ingredients, citing a "proprietary formula". Look for ingredient lists that are short and give full disclosure.

Edited after reading answers above. Bio Kleen absolutely ROCKS!!! I also love their Bac Out Bathroom cleaner and their Spot and Odor remover. Also, Norwex makes a cloth that seriously can take any stain out of fabric. I call it my magic cloth. :) My mom bought me the cloth for my birthday and I shall be forever grateful. ;)

I used to use 7th Generation and it's ok but I recently switched to Martha Stewart and I love it. It gets the clothes cleaner and has a nice light scent. I have heard that Method and Mrs. Meyers are good although I have not tried them.

We have used Country Save for years! A box lasts us months, so it's very economical. It cleans well and is great for my VERY sensitive skin.

I love my Shaklee. ALL the cleaning products. They are extremely inexpensive because they are so concentrated. I rarely buy because they last a really long time. In fact, Shaklee says that using other products vs Shaklee you can save $3500 using Shaklee. The laundry (liquid or powder) is awesome. I have a formula to take out stains. My machine lasts longer and my clothes last longer. I have been using it for over 40 years and I haven't found a better product.

I love Rockin Green, I have also use Country Save. I just changed to Rockin Green because they have different formulas for different water types and I needed that because I use cloth diapers.

We use Bio Kleen

You can find it at Fred Meyers in the health food Section. In Liquid or powder form.

I love it because you can get it lightly scented or not at all. The lightly scented is very pleasant.

Eco's is my next favorite. I am not a fan of there Lavender which is my favorite Scent for Laundry.

I will NEVER go back to the regular TIde, All the main stream cleaners. They made me so sick. Where I would go weeks without using them....run out of my Bio, have to use what was left from my big box of my name brand stuff(cant remember now what brand), my stomach would get sick. My skin itchy and I would just feel horrible. When I stopped using it altogether......All the symptoms stopped.
