I live in oldsmar and this will be the first time in 15 years i am off of work at night
to go see fireworks. I would like to make it special for my 6 year old little girl. Where
would be the best place to take her close to oldsmar? Also i work as a nurse but have had a hip replacement so it is hard for me to walk long distances so parking will be a issue.
If oldsmar is having fireworks i can take a cab then parking would not be a concern.please
advise me if anyone knows a place close to home. Thank you for your help in advance. B. and cassey

Oldsmar doesn't do fireworks for the 4th anymore (they do them for Oldsmar Days instead), but Safety Harbor puts on a nice show. You can either go to SH or set up in RE Olds Park to watch from there - it's a little far, but not so crowded (also not so loud). Bring your bug spray!
I don't know if Oldsmar is doing anything but there is a festival planned in Safety Harbor.
(I so wish I had seen your post YESTERDAY!)
New Port Richey had our doings last night.
Nicest fireworks in the area, in my opinion,
right over the wee lake downtown.
Live music in the park.
Vendors all day.
Its the ONLY NPR festival that feels
almost entirely family focused.
I love that I counts several groups
of adults/kids playing ball games.
It's not down the street from you,
but there's always parking relatively nearby
if you arrive early
(bring a picnic, blanket, chairs,
whatever, to make YOU comfortable)
Watch for it next year.
It's a good time.
