Is it "normal" for a 3 year old to have a gray hair?
He only has one if that makes a difference.

How charming! Maybe he was born with an "old soul," and will be one of those children who are just naturally wise!

Not common maybe, but normal.

One of my boys has a light patch, and I used to know a young man with a small spot of white on one side of his dark head...if it doesn't go away (as some else mentioned it might) just think of it as a "birthmark" for hair.

Hee hee! Isn't funny when "babies" ahve gray hair? When I was a nanny for a one year old girl, she also got a gray hair. Her mom about had a corinary over it and took her to the doctor. Turns out it is just fine. Gray hairs in children are simply a pigment issue with the follicle and generally don't grow back once that particular hair is shed. The mom decided to pluck out the gray hair and it was never seen again. Don't worry - nothing major in terms of your son's health. Just a fluke.
