We signed our daughter up in October 2006 when she was 10 months old. We paid $600 and have not heard a thing. I wouldn't suggest it.
Has anyone ever had any experience with Ad Kids. I've received things in the mail from them and am curios to see what others have thought. ‘’

We got that when our twinkies were a few months old. So my husband and I thought - what the heck, we'd try it. Well, the day before the interview or two days before I had a weird feeling and did a google on them. Boy... did a bunch of negative and fraudulent sounding things come up about them and some other agencies. So we cancelled. It seems like IF you can find a legit one you still need to put money down for pictures and be at their beckon call. It's too bad. I would have like to have tried to start the college fund early! If you do it or something like it, please let me know how it goes!
here is a link to Ad Kids in Chicago through the better business bureau.

My son signed with AD kids. He went on 4 shoots and it took about 6 months to get his money. Then they just stopped calling, so I no longer get his picture taken. It is not lucrative at all. I would not reccommend them
I got the stuff in the mail and decided to set up an interview as well. We did go to the interview and as soon as they mentioned the money we got up and left. NO one asks for money, simple recent pictures are enough for companies to make a decision on whether or not they want to hire your child.
If you want to try something else, try Stewart Talent, I think I heard of them on the news or something a few months ago.
Here is their address www.stewarttalent.com
I think you send in photos of your child and they will contact you if interested, and I don't believe they will charge you.
Let me know if you decide to try it and how it goes!
Any places that send out mailers or charge a fee are bogus. They feed on the fact that we all think our children are the most adorable ones out there. There are reputable agencies out there, but they don't send out mailers. They don't have to.
No reputable agency asks YOU for money.
I get stuff from them all the time but I think most of those types of things are a scam
