If you have the room - yes, I'd buy a multi-use one - especially with teenagers.
Great to have around for kids to play instead of XBOX.
If money and space weren't an issue would u buy your tweens an air hockey table that was just an air hockey table.....or something that was a 5 in one ping pong/pool/what ever else plus an air hockey table??? If I can link some examples easily I will.but I'm not super techie

Can any one that has the multiple one talk about how easy it is to change out...and is there built in storage for what u don't use.
I had forgotten their friend has a fuse? Ball table and that is their fav...I thought it was air hockey my bad.
Also like gramma g mentioned...will the multi use ones actually work well?? If I'm asking that right. . Tx

We have an air hockey table. A big heavy duty one. It gets used when the boys have friends over, but they rarely use it anymore otherwise. We wish we'd purchased a ping pong table instead.
I looked at the 5-in-one tables when we were shopping before and they seem very cheaply made. The reviews confirm that they fall apart and arent sturdy. I wouldn't buy one unless you're okay with that.
Also, check out Craigslist. That's where we found our $300 air hockey table for $60. You can find some amazing deals this time of year because folks are wanting to move those dusty game tables out to make room for something new.
Merry Christmas!
We have a full-size air hockey table, similar to the ones you see in places like the YMCA. The kids have had it for I think 4-5 years now and still play it occasionally, but mostly when friends are over. We got it for $200 off of Craigslist, and it was originally $750, so we were happy with the purchase.
I would not recommend buying one brand new or a combination table. The fun of the table wears off too quickly to spend that much money and the combination tables aren't worth it at all - they are flimsy.
I would buy the multi-use table.
I think it would depend on the teens. I loved air hockey and would not have every touched any other game, well, maybe ping pong.
I'd rather have the air work really well and not have to unhook stuff to make it flip into a ping pong table. Now other stuff might be different but I'd rather have an awesome air hockey table.
If your teens don't really care for air hockey but like other stuff then this option would work great.
I wouldn't get the multi use one. They are not easy to change out and are cheaply made. We have a full size, heavy duty air hockey table and it gets a lot of use.
i have yet to see a multi-use one that was well-built and easy to use. it sounds great in theory, but i wouldn't get one.

Definitely get a table that has different games. It is so worth it!
I would buy a YMCA membership and let them use the games there, as well as the pool, play structure, gym etc...I am not big on hanging around the house, so I wouldn't want to provide too many reasons to do so.
I would get it. I love to play air hockey. Don't know about the interchangeable table but definitely the air hockey. I don't have room we will never have one. We do play at the Y when we go.
Is the multi use table even an "air" hockey table? The rink just put in a hockey game and it is not air. They are on it constantly and it brought in over $500 over the weekend.
Personally, I would do the multi use table. They will get tired of a game and change it out for another game. If a friend shows up that plays ping pong, I bet they would switch it out with out bothering you for help, they are teenagers.
